One of the few positives from the weekend was Dusty trolling Melbourne yet again :D

Here's hoping he racks up 40 against GWS :thumbsu:

When anyone says 'don't argue' he is the first person I think of. Was hardly the first player to do it but I reckon he's the master of it and deserves that recognition. Love how some commentators call him 'the bull'. He's got a big frame but not a huge amount of muscle definition yet. give him time though.

one thing that stood out for me was his defensive running. I was looking out for it and very happy with what I saw.

He was good, finally.

He personified our problems in Rounds 1 to 5. His complete lack of defensive running contributed more than Grigg, Pettard or any other recycled whipping boy to the losses against the GC, Doggies and Collingwood, as well as the Carlton fade-out.

But he got my votes this weekend.

That's one of our many problems this year. Too little from the players we pump up during the off season. Anyone willing to rate Martin with Cotchin and Deledio now the season is 8 games in?

We have a fantastic core of young players. Our players from 0-100 games will honestly take us to the next level.

Our biggest problem is there after. Only players i can see remaining on our list in that next bracket are Deledio, Jack and an ageing Maric.

Astbury, Rance, Elton, McDonough, Vlastuin, Ellis, Conca, Cotchin, Martin, Deledio, Miles, Jack, Griffiths, Lennon, Knights, Llyod and Maric

Out of that lot the most damaging and most exciting will be Martin, Lennon, Griffiths and Rance. Add another 50 games to that lot, with 2 top end draft picks (Pick 4 to 6 this year) and some classy FA and we will be there abouts in two years time.

I am 100% with you on this train of thought. Having been saying all along this probably the season we needed to have. We are better than this but our best was only ever building into the equivalent of the bulldogs recent prelim side. As you have said we have a good core group and should get a top 6 pick this year, which should result in another gun player. This plus the current crop of young guys will take us forward and the sooner we move away from the the likes of Grigg, Jackson ect the better. The next coach that comes in will have a good job imo.

Cotchin, Deledio, Martin, Ellis, Lennon, Vlaustin, Conca is a good core group of first rounders to build a game plan around. Plus say Brawyshaw or Pickett from this years draft. Very similar to Ken Hinkley and Port. Walked into Boak, Hartlett ect and then added Wines/Wingard.

The other thing to remember is the lower we finish obviously our first rounder will become a very good player but im excited at how low a next pick will be. If we finish bottom 6 our second rounder will be picks 22-25 and our third rounder could be under pick 40. Im really excited to see who will last to our second pick. Hopefully we can trade Vickery for a pick in the top 25.

We could effectively have 3 picks in the top 25:thumbsu:

Anything beyond 20 is a waste .

the player on our list doing anything this year. seriously. will win Jack Dyer by 500 votes.
Worth every penny his manager wanted. Clearly the most talented footballer at our club
