Sets the club up for disappointment and let's other player managers for the Roos know that the club has excess coin to extract for their next contract. Not much to gain by leaking this sort of stuff to the media.

The professional clubs like Geelong and Hawthorn generally keep $$$ out of the media - and get their player.

Martin’s slashing form in Thursday night’s season opener was the talk of the town as his Brownlow odds tumbled from $13 to $7.

The restricted free agent has been offered a deal worth $4 million over five years but has told friends he has a rival $6 million, six-year offer.

Seems like the little birdie in this case is Martin himself, and not North's management.

LOL, a poster on a tiger fan forum who is a s**t stirrer said this 4 days ago, just proves media get their info off internet fan forum sites.

PS: the words you bolded were the exact words the s**t stirrer said.

Spotted in Perth over the weekend. Make it happen Bondy. White line fever got the West Coke boys over the line.

Sorry don't come on the main board often and just spotted your post. Unlikely any in the picture will play for Freo.

Doubt that Dusty leaves and especially to a bottom 4 team.

Lol Dusty isn't going to play for Norf or Hawthorn as they enter their respective rebuild phases. Richmond will offer him a mil a year for however long and that'll be the end of it.

These agreements are normally made a long way out. Before it is announced that current contract negotiations are on hold.
Look at Dangerfield, Franklin and Ablett, for example.

If Dusty is leaving, he's not sizing up clubs now, he did it months and months ago, back in 2016.

Clubs target players 12-24 months before they come out of contract.

Hahahaha.
I always make life changing decisions years in advance and never change my mind even after 2 years of new information is available to me.
