I hate all of you. I had never noticed 'shorts it' until I read this thread. I mean, the guy is a useless **** but I was used to his semi ******ed garbage. Now, once I became away of 'shorts it' it was the only thing I heard the entire commentary. Made it so much worse. Someone should end this bloke now.

What is interesting is that no other caller of the game has a thread (apart from a 6 reply BT thread) on this particular board and when you think that across both tv and radio their is probably around 24 commentators (not counting special comments) it tells you something when this thread alone has reached 17 pages.

Perhaps you could start a positive thread on Russell and see how it goes.

A few years ago on 3aw, Gerard put him on the spot by asking who he really barracked for: Geelong or Port (because, for those who don't know, Pipe played for both clubs and lived in the both towns for at least 20 years each). It was a little more than a muck-around moment, with Gerald getting slightly serious and pressing the point. Derwayne tried to avoid answering -- or at least pretended to -- but eventually declared that his true love was Port.

The fact is ice hockey players come off after almost every stoppage in play, not just after scoring a goal, as the average shift, time spent on the ice between rests on the bench, is about 45 seconds.

I'm watching the replay of the North-Suns game at the moment.

I am completely convinced that Dwayne has lost any control of the English language he might've once possessed. At quarter time, while the scores for both teams were up on the screen, Dwayne comes out with this absolute gem.

I think he meant paltry. I want to believe he meant paltry. In any case, I am still laughing. He is a joke.
