He's worth 4 at the most imo. I certainly wouldn't like to have the petulant party boy in my side. They're a bad bunch up there :p

We'll take him on loan for a year, Newcastle would have to pay half his salary, us being skint and all.

Then we'll stick him on the wing and tell him to do what he's f**king told. :D

A great example of everything that is wrong with professional sport

A guy getting more money a week than most normal perople earn in a year and he wants to dictate to his employer where he plays

Its beyond belief.

And to think that just 12 months ago, Newcastle fans were saying that they wouldn't sell him to Manchester United for anything less than 20 million.
We'll be luck to get half of that now. 8 mil is the figure apperently according to the papers, anybody offers that and he's off.

Another that SBR has exiled - Solano, Viana, Dyer. That's three parts of a very good midfield.

You'd be lucky to get that for him considering that is how much Owen went for. If only you'd sold him to Leeds 3 years ago!! :D

Have to disagree with the highlighted bits there.

We've all been so patient with Kieron - the club, the supporters - and SBR has been no different. The injuries, the bad behaviour, the shoddy attitude, his perennially sh1thouse form - and he's still doing bugger all while behaving like a mincing bigtime charlie.

Ever since he finally got over the shinsplints he's done bugger all except run around like a headless chicken. He's a winger who can't cross, a fullback who can't defend and an attacking central midfielder who cannot score.

From NUFC.com:

Dyer Premiership appearances/goals:

1999/00: 27 appearances +3 sub, 3 goals.
2000/01: 25 appearances +1 sub, 5 goals.
2001/02: 15 appearances +3 sub, 3 goals.
2002/03: 33 appearances +2 sub, 2 goals.
2003/04: 25 appearances +0 sub, 1 goal.
2004/05: 0 appearances +1 sub, 0 goals.

Dyer has scored once in his last 37 Premiership outings and three times in his last 65.

If we get any bids around the £3m mark I'd accept them in a heartbeat.

Nicky Butt was a good buy (probably Milner too), he may be a bit relatively old but he's hard working and honest. Dyer is the exact opposite AND he's an arrogarant ******** to boot. Not to mention Robert and Viana who have had spats with the manager in the past (and Lua-Lua who got sick of Bobby and left). I suspect that Sir Bobby is going for players without really considering their overall character (add Bowyer). Bellamy is seen as a ********er but I think he's honest and loyal to the club, and I don't know enough about Kluivert to make a judgement on him. I shudder to think whether there is any team spirit at all outside of the core group (Shearer, Given and....well thats about it).

We probably need a new manager like Alan Shearer to get all the "divas" out of our side and get a team of honest hard workers in there.

Fair enough, but he's still young. There is a lot of good football for him to play which MAY be very good. It would kill me if he discovered this potential somewhere else. You can blame his attitude all you want etc. etc. but that also comes down to club culture - and we've all heard the rumours about what's been going on there for the past 2 years - and also to the manager and why he isn't getting the best out of Kieron.

His recent record is terrible, and his form has been ordinary, but there's seldom players with more talent than him.

3m? Papers today said we wanted 8.

We may well want £8m, but the only team stupid enough to buy him at that price would be Chelsea. Considering what Liverpool paid for Kewell and what we paid for Butt, I'd be happy to have Dyer's attitude and wages off our books for what would be a fair £3m.

With his track record combined with today's market, this will be an exercise in cutting our losses.

I agree with you one hundred percent here.

Dyer has pace to burn, unfortunately thus ends the list of his footballing talents.

£3mil would be a good price for him, I hope to god we don't put a bid in for him.

We have been patient enough with young Dyer. If he is ever going to find his potential its not going to be with us. It would be disapointing if he found it with another club, but its never going to happen at Newcastle :(

Its best for him and the club if he leaves, Ive thought that for a while now...

Finished 3-0, the highlight undoubtedly Shaun Wright's goal. Intercepted a pass about 10 yards inside the defensive half, dribbled into the box with no on able/capable/willing to lay a tackle. The drilled into the bottom corner.

Absolutely stoked.

Dyer Issues Apology

Kieron Dyer has apologised over his refusal to play in the position required by the Newcastle United Manager when the team played Middlesbrough last week.

Kieron said "My refusal to play in the position the Manager asked me was wrong. I sincerely regret the whole incident. Certain players were injured and for the good of the team and the club I should have accepted what Sir Bobby said without question but ultimately the Manager picks the team and I apologise to him and to our supporters wholeheartedly."
