I would have thought that it would be wishful on the Saints behalf.

I'd cry, that'd be a pretty dissapointing result. Ray's nothing special and he's well older than Robbo.

Yeh after Dockernut said he didnt like it, I looked up Ray and didnt realise he will be 27 next season. I thought he was more around 24ish.

I used to tag that clown in juniors, suffered under the attention, then had a free run in the states and went top five in his draft. Not a fan.

This is my thinking as well.. its the only logical thing i can come up with regarding letting Broughton go for such a low and pointless pick

Carlton have let go of Bower and Russel who are similar type players? Not sure what picks or anything they have though

More likely it will be Roberton for pick #167 just to get him where he wants to go. Everyone knows he is leaving and that we are happy to accommodate his desire to get home to Victoria.

Pick #167 was obviously an exaggeration. There will no doubt be clubs that rate him higher than whoever they are looking at with their 3rd/4th round picks. We currently don't have the list space for anything after pick #40 though...

The best we can realistically hope for is a 3rd round upgrade IMO.
