True, but I think it's as much about being able to play four great games in a row too, which has been difficult this season. Would be one hell of an achievement that's for sure. The one great opportunity that comes from playing all the top sides is that we get to take points away from them. So you never know.
While I'm confident that we are building week by week (within the obvious constraints of having Varcoe, Menzel, Vardy, Ling, Otto out of the side), your guess is as good as mine as to whether we'll reach a stage where we have the capacity to put 4 quality weeks of footy together. While I have confidence in the group, the age profile needs to be balanced out; that is, 4, maybe 5 youngsters laying max (NB: I no longer regard Duncan and Christensen as youngsters). We simply won't be going anywhere near the back end of September with the 9-10 sub 50 gamers we've seen running around this year. It's a difficult balancing act and Scott et. al. have been doing a great job so far, but as we approach the business end I'd hope the side is more or less settled and the plans/structures firmly in place for a big crack. Who knows whether this will happen. I'm backing us to get our act together and at the very, very least get to a semi final. I say semi final because I'm resigned to the fact that top 4 is out of reach this year - but for reasons I have touched on earlier, I'm totally OK with that
