But that's what happened last night. But if Galactic is allowed to change it then Juddy should (and was) because he actually was online before Galactic but accepted his Isaac Bruce at the time (unaware that the Galactic-gate would occur).

Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

Now you're starting to insist on strict rules, Zarko, and you cant if you maintained your opposite view last night that people should be cut some slack.

Therefore, really, there is no rule, just an advisory notice to "please" make your pick before your deadline. But if a bunch of people miss picks, we're gonna cut them slack and let them change stuff.

Because there's no point being a "Nazi" etc.

its hardly strict... Its unlikely to happen for one thing

My view last night was one of what I believed to be common sense... It is common sense to allow people to change a pick if the next hasn't been made... That was my view... It is not common sense to allow picks that are 2, 3 afterwards, as I said last night.

Galactics pick was made when juddy WOULD have changed it...

Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

Galactic never made a pick tho. His deadline expired by an hour. It looks confusing now after all the editing of posts. But at the time it was clear.

Here's the chronology and truth....

Southern made a pick.
Juddy showed as on the clock, pick due by 11 am.
Then I posted saying Juddy had missed the deadline, and posted he took Isaac Bruce with an updated draft showing Galactic as on the clock pick due 9 PM.
Then Larkis made a post saying "times up?" at 9:07.
I then made a post under Larkis' saying Galactic had missed his deadline and was given Gabriel and an updated roster showing Cleveland Steamers on the clock and pick due by 7am.
Then Southern posted under that laughing at how Juddy got given bruce in the end, and I posted a reply to that lol'ing.
Then Southern made another post about how there were two deadline missed picks in a row....commenting on the updated draft in the post above him which clearly showed "deadline missed" beside both Juddy and Galactic's forced players.
Eventually the time showed 10:14 or something by the time Galactic arrived and started complaining etc.
Then there followed a stream of posts etc.
Here is where I then MOVED all these posts to the discussion thread and eventually edited Juddy's and Galactic's posts to show they had selected Haynesworth and Clements, and deleted a post by me that said "Galactic has missed his deadline and now receives Doug Gabriel".
During the time of 9pm and 10pm, Juddy was ONLINE and COULDVE piped up asking for his player to be changed, but he didnt and decided to accept the 'punishment'.
He just didnt think he COULD complain and ask for it to be reversed because we had a new rule in place and he did NOT expect Galactic to come online and complain demanding Clements instead.

Follow that chronology and facts and you will see why I and Arakaan and Southern, and GeeCats and others were right to be upset with Galactic changing his pick under the rules at the time.

No I totally get the situation don't worry... As I said though I just think its not worth not letting them change a pick if the next person hasn't picked or run out of their time limit...

Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

By the way everyone....

Im gonna assign Crowman as the 2nd Commish, should he accept it.
From last night's argument, it was clear to me he showed a lot of objectivity, and ability to listen and see both sides of the argument.

So once he comes online and lets me know if he accepts it, then I will grant him Commish role.

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

30 MINS till waivers process.

So everyone make sure you've got your waivers down and arranged them in the order of preference you want them taken.

And no taking Little sneakily because he WILL show up on my LM TOOLS what time he got selected and how etc.

Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

Nah, theres no friendly league rivalry here.

Im pretty damn pissed off about the way this league is run. If it were starting again tomorrow, i wouldnt be signing up. Things have gone beyond a joke, in terms of catering for people who havent done the right thing.

Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

All good things start off on rocky relations.
I believe Beta will end up a great league.
Just hope everyone sticks with it thru thick and thin.
Nah, look, there needs to be some good will for these things to work, but i can honestly say there are members of the league ive got absolutely no respect for after what has taken place.

Im also hesitant about investing heavily in this in terms of time now, because i dont know what rules are actually going to be adhered to tomorrow, or what will be changed on a whim to suit those who havent invested their time properly.

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

In the end actually i made all those selections, I just scrolled down randomly clicking people and drafting them because i didnt wanna sit around for 2mins x 72 picks = 144 mins

Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

Give it a chance first. Crowman will be a good Commish and under his power/control all the mess can be fixed imo. Cos right now it's the draft, the "big" stage, and everyone's a cat on a hot tin roof, and so many ways for 'situations' to occur of rule bending etc.
But once the draft is over and it kicks into league mode, there wont be any issues that could ever pop up.

All trades are vetoable by owners, theres nothing else! That's it. And Crowman will be very good in and around the league anyway.

Just give it a chance, dont go sour on it yet.

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

It'll happen any minute now. There's like MILLIONS of people playing fantasy on ESPN, and hundreds of millions of waivers to process. The whole thing takes about 30-40 mins. Starting at 3:00 AM.

It'll be done any second now.

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

This is an abnormally large time to process, usually within 5 minutes of when it says, only reason i can think it is taking ages is that there is possibly up to 72 claims now, has nothing to do with millions of people/leagues
