Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

At 260 lbs...that's not DE correct weight.
he lines up half his snaps at DE, half at LB, it is what caused the dispute surrounding his franchise tag, just means i am unable to add one more speculative LB

I see gg rates some of BMore's young defensive players!

Will be interested to see if Chris Henry can ever get it together, has all the talent in the world, its just he cant get himself off the straight and narrow off the field, here's hoping for him and me that he can turn around his life

Hopefully at the Raiders cos I like Henry's on-field ability and we need something there other than what we have.

Also, guys, go fill out your TRADING BLOCK section.

You might want to first do it in Internet Explorer, as Firefox doesnt like it. Then once it's been done in IE, you can change it etc thru Firefox. For some reason it just doesnt like Firefox the first time.

Pretty happy with my 6 players from waivers/FA.

Needed another LB after Ware was classified as a DE by ESPN, so Greenwood's solid. Pacman is worth the risk IMO.

Adrian Peterson (Bears) and Kevin Walter happy to get off FA. 150 & 180 pts last season. Situation at both clubs gives them the chance to repeat that.
Boller worth the risk, no guarantee either Smith or Flacco will be ready.
Stover a solid back up at kicker.

My starting line-up, which is still a work in progress aint looking too bad.
A few moves from the bench I could make to bolster it.
But my depth is very young and likely show me up when there are byes or injuries.
Hopefully the pre-season and camp sorts out the men from the boys and I can delete a few of those speculative players for other speculative players.

Who do you guys think will be the starting TE in Atlanta, surely once Ryan takes over the reins a TE will be an important part of the offence as a safety valve for Ryan

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

you only have to look at Dspeed's avatar and sig for the answer to that!
I saw a pre-draft competition on ESPN a couple of weeks before the draft and the QBs amongst other activities had to throw long bombs within a small grin on the field. Flacco threw them 70+ yards and looked like he still had another gear!! Still he looked like an athlete trapped in the body of a tree!

Still reckon Brian Brohm is the next big thing.

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

He may start week 1, but if smith or flacco play 15 to like 8 games then it's a moot point.

Probably they'll play Boller but if they slip to like 1-3 or 1-4 they'll bring in Smith or Flacco.

Supposedly Smith is considered the one to have first crack at the starter job itself, day one. But it's inevitable Flacco is the guy because look at the moves they made in the draft to get Flacco.

Boller knelt from the 50 yardline and got it through the uprights... He turned out marvellous ey :p

Plus pressure from players makes all the difference, as most know...

I rekcon If Favre doesn't come back, given Rodgers injury history, it ain't too far a stretch to see Brohm starting sometime this year.I reckon he will be 'solid' but I don't think he will make the step to elite ever... But only time will tell...

I think Brohm and Brennan will be the ones who make it because there's some stat that a stat-site discovered showing that QBs in college who had completion % above 62.3 or something had the greatest success becoming NFL stars. It was like a huge % difference of QBs who made it big in the NFL compared to the huge drop off of QBs who made it big having less than 62.3. It was like double more.

Brohm and Brennan both had over 62.3. Brennan 77 i think.

That said.....isn't Brohm having struggles in Green Bay?? I was reading that somewhere that he looked bad at OTA's.
