Re: BFDL 1 Discussion Thread

I pm'ed gg before the draft to ask if the OPs included QB's, as it looked obvious with this scoring system that 5 QBs = epic win. Didn't sit right with me so I drafted as I usually would and kinda hoped that nobody else would pickup on it.
In saying that though, the rules were clear for all to see and good on JD for going down that path - he will dominate the dynasty for maybe 3/4 years, but after that who knows?
Because the option was there for everyone, I vote no change.

Re: BFDL MKII Discussion Thread

ANNOUNCEMENT:-

Due to many people across all three Dynasty leagues being unaware of, or improperly told what the OP position is. Specifically, that multiple QBs can be used in the OP slots. And, in the interests of tweaking any surfacing league structure problems. It has been decided that there will be a slight roster change that will affect everyone.

But for the common good, for the benefit of having a viable league without farcical situations, we ALL have to do the right thing and resolve it before the problem escalates in the near future.

The roster change is now this:-

Start: 1 Qb, 2 Rb, 2 Wr, 1 Te....1 Rb/Wr flex spot.....2 OP spots.

What this means is that the OP spot can be used on any offensive position---Qb, Wr, Te, or RB. There will just be 1 less one now in the interests of removing the ability to start 4 Qbs.

Those people who drafted QBs early to take advantage of the previous rule, we're not out to disadvantage you. Your QBs all still retain their value. And you dont have to keep them all or trade any of them. But everyone in their respective MK comp should endeavor to do the right thing for the common good. Not throw a tantrum or start low-balling people looking to trade one of their QBs.

Re: BFDL 1 Discussion Thread

Can everyone please stop ragging on my QB's!!! im very sensitive! :(
Mine are easily the worst.
But yours show that there's room for you, or someone like you, with only 1 real good QB, to seek a fair trade with JD if trade talks ever started. Or JD can sit still not letting another team improve by trading them one of his QBs if any deal wasnt right.

Re: BFDL 1 Discussion Thread

NDG shouldve voted yes imo because if he's concerned about the 'not rightness' of starting 4 QBs (max) then he would want to vote yes and ensure that doesnt occur for the best interests of the league itself.

Re: BFDL 1 Discussion Thread

Been reading the posts from when 'the penny dropped' ....(thanx dspeed).

Just sent gg a Private message.

Seems to be a communication breakdown and I sincerely aplogilise for the misunderstanding but as it stood on the OP >> Opening Post. As it stood, you start 1 QB. Unless I'm told otherwise, I missed the 'discussion' about having 4 QB's in the team part so that's why I carried on as 'per normal'. I've seen 4 WR's on the field before, even 3 TE's but sheesh, 4 QB's?

Amazing.. carry on guys. I'm only hoping we can get the communication right from the get-go. That's all. :)

It was pretty clear that OP = Offensive Player, which means any offensive player

I get your point dspeed. No need to keep drilling it.. I'm not going to bleed OIL y'know. Just a matter of having the Opening Post more clear in the communication process. gg just let me know that we're going to reduce it to 3 QB. I suppose I'll have to draft Randle El.

I'm over it. Carry on.

Oh please I have one of the worst starters, and 3 backups, 1 of which is a 3rd stringer :p

Re: BFDL 1 Discussion Thread

Hester = great talent, being bred as a RB for the Chargers, fully expect him to be the NO 1 STRING for a few games at least if LdT goes down for consecutive weeks. Given his knee that may be possible...

Anyway great talent who could take the reigns in a 2 years or so if LdT diminishes quickly enough...

Re: BFDL 1 Discussion Thread

Russell: Fatso rookie who isnt a good film student behind a questionable OL, and with no passing targets, where Drew Carter IS the best receiver, and the rest of the WR corp is made up of guys with injuries or the bunch of them made only like 10 catches in the NFL all of them put together. Fatso QB being asked to roll out. Could be another coaching change and another playbook.....that's if fatso even can learn the one he has now.

Kolb: Love this guy. He WILL be a star (imo). But right now, he's a 2nd/3rd string rookie who hasnt thrown a pass in the NFL. It's a wait and see if he's even any good.

Grossman: Nuff said.

Moore: Love this guy too. Imo he ends up being a top player. But right now, he's a firm #2 and wont see much action all year unless Delhomme throws his elbow out again.

Re: BFDL 1 Discussion Thread

Jackson - Hasn't shown anyhting to be a consistent starter

Quinn - Behind Anderson, who knows

Warner - Needs Leinart to be REALLY bad or get injured

Booty - Third string behind number 1

Woodson - In a deep QB area.....

(woops ;))
