Yeah, just to emphasize what dspeed said about the future drafts....

It'll be a 6 round ONLINE draft.
So it will be like a proper NFL draft 1 to 12, 1 to 12, thru the 6 rounds. This will also help the weaker teams to get stronger by drafting good players always before the top teams.

Draft pick trading is also allowed in 2009 onwards. It's part of the inbuilt ESPN system now. So next year, people can trade for or away their draft picks.

lol. c'mon woodson! get with the program. normally your AE explanations are very confusing but make total sense to you. And yet here, you get confused by simple things!
:D... half the idea is to get a laugh and make you guys look silly.

The 4 QB's theory even caught out my WR's who made the Mustang's GM Larry David day a nightmare.. Larry was pulling off all kinds of stunts.. the WR's thought he was having a fit !!

Just a hypothetical, could you use next year's draft picks in a trade this year? ie. You give me Tom Brady and I'll give you my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounder next year...

What about trading guys. Should all trade discussions be open to everyone?

I'm just asking because it could be an advantage if there are certain little cliques, friendships on here that may lead to people just trading amongst themselves.

Two people may trade players but someone else outside that circle may have offered a better deal.

Then again having it open may result in AFL trade week where everyone waits/bluffs/etc. May take longer to complete trades.

What do you think?

Up to the individual, you might do a unilateral offer to everyone and then conduct negotiations through pms, dont think you can stop either, if i wanna pm you i should be able to

Afraid someone is going to make a 'Veale deal'? I think most people on here will make decisions solely on the betterment of their team, not to satisfy a 'clique' that they're in. That's the way I see it anyway...

Also, trade rules are that they have to be voted on by the league. So if 7/12 people vote against a trade, it wont happen. But you only have 24 hrs to cast a vote. I made it 24 hrs because I hate waiting 3 days for a trade to clear.
So if no one votes the trade will clear.

You guys will all get emails when a trade offer has been made between other people and you'll be able to vote Yay or Nay.

I am pretty sure we don't have any 'cliques' in our comp. We just have to keep an eye on any gg trades.....:D

In BFFFL Mk1 we did set up a 'committee' to rule on any trades done that could deem them 'colusion', so maybe something similar could be done here?

Re: Dynasty #1 - DISCUSSION - Part 2

But you have to be sincere. You shouldn't cast a NO vote just to stop someone in your division from getting Randy Moss, say. And that hurts your chances of winning. If the trade itself is a fair trade, then you should say YES.

Only say NO if it's collusion or the value is wrong, someone being rorted etc.

Re: Dynasty #1 - DISCUSSION - Part 2

In a lot of dynasty leagues, they have player salaries etc. And so what happens is it makes it more interesting when trading people because the system will automatically reject trades that are imbalanced, not right value, or exceed your team's salary cap.

It's a shame we couldn't have all those hardcore management options due to it being a free ESPN comp, but that's a pretty failsafe system that they use.

Re: Dynasty #1 - DISCUSSION - Part 2

People better not veto if the trade just means there chances of the championship are effected, eg i might trade Owens to someone for a young WR because i am out of the hunt and looking long term, teams in the division where Owens is going shouldnt veto because their chances are now affected

Personally 9/12 vetoes should be needed, much like changes to league rules

Re: Dynasty #1 - DISCUSSION - Part 2

Don't get wrong guys, I wasn't saying that there will be collusion or unfair trades. I think it just won't happen on here. Dspeed trades with Mordi and they're both out to get the best out of the deal. No doubt.

But because they're mates and chat together more often then they may deal with each other more than others. But deal fair and square, i've no doubt at all about that.

Re: Dynasty #1 - DISCUSSION - Part 2

Well I can change it at any time thru the season, and I dont think that's a problem. it's not like an OP change.

So 7/12 now, can be 9/12 later, or LM ONLY votes, if there's any big stink during the season.

And that trade you outlined above Dspeed is not fair. I would say no to that if you're trading Owens for Bobby Sippio just before the playoffs, to a team in the playoffs. If you're gonna do stuff like that then I'll change it now to LM ONLY votes.

Totally agree. 9/12 should always be required.
