Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

To be honest, if you really dont see a problem with that trade, you might not be the best equipped to be league GM.
Well, feel free to say that to gg, he was the one that assigned me it.

Crowman - I actually put forward that trade to judy. So lets see if we can try and cut down on the smart ass remarks before we know what went down.

However, I'm surprised you're willing to give up that many picks for him, sleepy, but it's your choice.
Thats fair enough, i knew i was giving up alot, but i like you said - IT WAS MY CHOICE.. and i was happy with it.

The trade proposed is dead. Make another fairer trade between yourselves to be voted on if you both want a player each. Why not just straight swap it then????? You want his player, he wants yours, so trade them!!

because from what i can infer, the other player is Steve Smith, Smith for Marshall would be more lopsided and have everyone up in arms again, the trade aint that bad, jeez, two crapshoots, an ageing WR, a 2nd year wideout without much form behind him and a future pick for a potential gun, people see all that quantity and get up in arms, if it were adrian peterson for that lot would it be alright?

Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

Too many draft picks involved tho.
Marshall for 20 million players is absurd.
Just let them come to us with another proposal and we'll see/advise.
I agree Smith-Marshall isnt fair either.
Mind you, Marshall's on a bee-line to suspension right now. So Sleepy's in for a hell of a shock.

Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

Yeah, i knew that about Marshall btw.. But last time i checked this is a dynasty league - At the tender age of 23 i think he could of been a huge stud for me over a long period of time.

BUT AS YOU SAID THE TRADE IS DEAD SO EVERYONE SHUT UP ABOUT IT AND MOVE ON. :)

Propose another trade tho.

Say...

Steve Smith + some other player for Marshall.

Or

Steve Smith + 2 draft picks (of the current draft) for Marshall.

Something like that I would be more inclined to vote yes on.

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

What if I pick 2 players...if not drafted by me, then I'll still have FA's to go that won't cost me a waiver spot? Is that double clever? :p
Yes, that's what some people will do I think. hold onto their waiver order and wait instead to sign FAs.

SO what time do our waivers get processed?
it says Friday July 11 3am. Which would mean Friday July 11 about 5 pm AEST.

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

So does that mean like you can get multiple waivers in a row after a game for example? Say I passed on all 6 and the first three rounds were used by everyone else... WOuldn't that mean they all go behind my picks and therefore I get three waivers in a row?

That's right. But focus on it being one pick at a time.
Let me give an example.

Right now, all 12 people are claiming waivers, right.
Let's say you have decided to put 6 waivers in, but everyone else has only put 1 in.
What happens is pick by pick.
It goes down, assigns everyone's first pick.
Then it goes down looking to assign everyone's second pick, but it notices only you have a 2nd, a 3rd, a 4th, etc pick.
So it would mean that after the first round, everyone went to the end after making a claim, which would put the waiver order back to exactly how it started.
But then the second round occurs, where only you made a pick. So you go to the end of the line, and everyone else stays put.
Then it goes thru the third round, everyone stays put again and it comes to you, assigns your player, and keeps you last of the line.
Same with 4th 5th and 6th rounds of picks being made.

So then you can see how it would work if 4 people had 6 picks, 4 people had 3 picks, and 4 people had 1 pick.

The whole waiver order would remain the same after the first round, because everyone made a pick and went to the end of the line. Resulting in the waiver order ending up how it started.

But then in the 2nd and 3rd waves of picks, and then the 4th-6th waves of picks, the waiver order list would end up completely different to how it started.

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

Just to re-confirm....

These current waivers will process Friday July 11 5pm AEST (which is Friday July 11 3am US EST).

In future tho, after NFL games end Monday night (Tuesday our time), waiver period starts immediately and gets processed the next day....which would be Wednesday 5pm every week.

This also means that any players dropped from teams before/during/after Wednesday also automaticaly become waivers for the NEXT day. So there's first a 24 hr period of players just dropped who sit as waivers, after that 24 hrs, THEN they process.

So what usually happens is every Wednesday and every Friday waivers get processed.

To stress something again...

After MNF, the system locks and every single player becomes a waiver for 24 hrs. So by Wednesday 5pm the waivers process and everyone becomes a FA again, who can be signed immediately.

But any players DROPPED after wednesday will become waivers while everyone else becomes a FA. So you will see some players with WA next to them and some with FA next to them during the period after Wednesday thru to Friday.

Re: Alpha Dynasty - DISCUSSION - Part 2

Announcement

Leonard Little appears as a FA because i had to test Dspeed's roster regarding Suggs and the issue with LB's and DE's.

In adding and dropping him from Dspeed's team to do the test, it caused Little to become a FA not a WAIVER.

Cassius noticed him as a FA and picked him up for free. I deleted him from Cassius' roster and PM'd him why.

So, no one is allowed to grab Little now. If anyone picks him up as a FA I will delete him from your roster.

Same goes for any other FAs right now that MAY be there.

Any FA right now till Friday 5pm is off limits till AFTER the waivers process.

Re: Beta Dynasty - DISCUSSION

Cant believe i missed the pick as i was online last night and knew it was my turn. Brain-freeze of a moment and skipped it without thinking.

Maybe its karma, maybe its stupidity (maybe its both) but rules are rules and i fully accept.

Maybe Bruce might not be such a bad pick after-all. Lets just see.

He's a fine pick, don't worry... just quite old so you will be looking for replacements at WR...

Re: Beta Dynasty - DRAFT

a) let's use some common sense, the next guy hasnt picked, Galactic picking effects no one, why be a nazi about it? if the next guy has picked then fine, he is stuck with gabriel, but it changes nothing, let the man pick for gods sake

b) stop editing peoples posts gg, it can result in confusion such as above, jeez

Re: Beta Dynasty - DRAFT

Actually, you know what....

It WAS right.

Southern made a pick at 1am. Juddy's deadline was 11 am. He missed that. Galactic's was 9pm. He missed that.

Sorry, I'm reversing everything back to how it was....it WAS right.
