Dyson Re - Signs

I'll be the millionth person to say it. He should not have got two years.... should be a one year contract. I guarantee his first year will be lazy and his second year he will do just enough to get signed for his third.

you guys are just a bunch of sooks. if you guys new anything and occasionaly watched a game you would see that he is a good player who has had limmited opportunity. he seems to get his run in the midfield for 5 minutes at a time before he is benched. i was extreamely disapointed to see that he was even put up for trade. he has a good kick and good speed. all he needs is a big pre season and some more confidence. people are forgetting that he is only 22. we are a rebilding side at the moment and we cant let players like him go who will be their in the years to come. i would have been very disapointed if he got traded and im glad he opted to say with his mate. he has something to prove now at theis club an i know that he will prove all of you guys wrong.

No offence but that's probably the closest anyone's got to having a sook.

Good luck to Ricky, I'm a bit in two minds about whether Sheedy did him very few favours or whether he isn't good enough. There's no doubt that he hasn't quite been the same since that pre-season incident.

Most people have said thet Dysons problems are all mental, and I agree. So isnt it a good idea to give him a 2 year contract instead of a 1 year contract, that way he can be comfortable that the coach has faith in him? Knowing that Knights has confidence in him might do him the world of good.

If that was the reason behind giving Ricky a 2 year deal then it is a suicidal decision. You can't give someone an extra year because you think it might give them the confidence they need to become a good player. If he is good enough, a one year contract should have given him the opportunity to prove himself once and for all, and if he hasn't got the guts and determination to prove people wrong in one year and gain that edge to become a worthy AFL footballer then it should be the end for him. If he wanted to really show some ticker, he'd show he can play next year and earn another contract, not be given a charity 2 year deal that he doesn't deserve...

Silly move bombers, but I hope you prove me wrong Rick :thumbsu:

Don't remember what started the Hawthorn brawl?

Winderlich has always had a the ability to win the ball in close, it's part of the reason he got drafted.

His problem early days was that he didn't have the fitness base to get to enough contests.

Agree with Longy..

Winders always had ability in close but was too lightweight and got pushed around easily.

Winders also had personal problems when first at essendon and trouble adapting to "city life".

I just hope that dyson does not become our next mark bolton, cause he is tight with the coach this is my only worry.

Of course there are examples of it not being the case, but I feel he spent a lot of time running to a position in his first 4 years.

That's what sticks in my mind, I could be wrong, but I don't believe he flaunted his in and under capabilties anywhere near as much as he's being made out to have.

Geez, you can say that about 30 other players on the list....

Winderlich has had more of a influence on a game then Dyson has had in 10 mins. Winderlich was smashing them at VFL before he came a regular in the seniors.

Really?

How midfielders on our list took more than 4 years on the senior list before establishing themselves in our best 22?
