When is the last time a AFL player in great form missed 1 month of footy during the middle of the season when he is 100% fit and ready to go!

3 weeks go Essendon had the bye
against freo senstaionally dropped when in great form but goes to perth anyway as emergency, doesnt play!
week later still not in the side and Bendigo has the bye so doesnt play at all again!
this week will finally play for Bendigo after his last game being against Sydney on June 9th when he had 20 touches to 3/4 time but was quiet in the last cos essendon were on fire and ball was basically never in the backline!

Hibberd should have not come into the side unless Dyson done something wrong to be dropped, Dell has been very average since he has come in, Melksham should of been dropped 6 weeks ago his been that bad and Reimers will never be a AFL player! None of these players should be playing infront of him!

I think he was either tired or had a slight niggle to be honest. I think it was a good ploy to have some in the wings fresh to assist us at the end of the season.

No way will Hibbo or Hep be dropped for Dyson... I would have Ricky in the team ahead of Myers but David has been playing rather well..

Thought he had done enough to save his career Dyson... may have been a chance for us to increase his trade value in the first half of the year...

I think Dyson would be a good option to cover that HB/Mid role and allow Myers to spend more time in the middle. You would probably look at dropping Melksham or Lonergan to complete the move.

Yep I can see that... Myers is always super damaging when he plays pure mid when in the Bendigo side... Cant see Melksham or Lonergan getting dropped any time soon though,

They are just the most likely I can see as going from our midfield group on this seasons form. Watson, Howlett and Stanton would not be dropped out of the side for any reason other than injury, and any other player that might be dropped on form/perceived importance to side are up forward (Reimers, Dell)

He was stiff to be dropped, his form in most of his games was good. He was below his best against Melbourne but was far from the worst.

This time, I would say he was dropped for role-related reasons, rather than form.

I think he will get another crack at some point.

Dyson came in to replace an injured Hibberd, Hibberd is no longer injured. It's unfortunate for Ricky, but Hibberd is better at the position they are fighting over.

I agree with that sentiment. I like Jake but on form Ricky deserves to be in the position before Jake.

When players in good form are being dropped due to "Best 22" players becoming available, it is a great problem to have.

Will be called upon when required. Will never be ahead of Hibberd of Heppell.

I think it's just Hirdy and co getting some senior match time into our semi regulars in case injuries continue to creep into our first 22. He'll be back and incidentally, expect to see McVeigh and Kavanagh come in also for this very reason to get them up in case we need them during end of July to mid August.

I'd rather have the same problem we had in 2000 with players like Prior being in top form and missing out, than in 2001 when our depth was tested and smashed in September.

Dyson will be back, and don't expect to see Reimers last too long when Davey returns, despite his serviceable output over the weekend.

Losing Crameri over potentially the next fortnight care of the MRP could open the door for more of this squad conditioning I like to call it.

He gets 20 touches that have minimal impact on the match. Ive left matches thinking he barely touched the ball and then look up he had 20 possesions, with most being 15m dinky kicks to Stanton.
