  • Neither getting, near the ball much, Be Ainsworth gave G Logue a bit of a touch-up. - 2m from 90 to 92.
  • In a solid performance, N Wilson won the bout with Be Ainsworth. - 79m from 2 to 81.
  • Toe to toe throughout, C Serong either broke even with H Greenwood or vaguely bested him - it was hard to tell. - 29m from 65 to 94.
  • In an epic battle, M Rowell and C Serong were hard to separate - though M Rowell was slightly more effective. - 44m from 6 to 50.
  • In a comparatively small-fry arm wrestle, H Young did very well against D MacPherson. - 42m from 3 to 45.
  • In a resume-material performance, S Hill had D Swallow's measure. - 97m from 1 to 98.
  • In what was a very slow day for both, J Bowes had D Tucker's measure. - 0m from 7 to 7.
  • Neither having much reason to brag, I Rankine was slightly more polished than G Logue. - 6m from 93 to 99.

  • While the match-up was a bit of a side-show, L Weller and M Walters were well-matched - there was no victor. - 98m from 1 to 99.
  • Neither having much reason to brag, Lu Ryan did well against M Rowell. - 2m from 96 to 98.
  • Neither having much reason to brag, Lu Ryan and S Flanders had an epic contest. - 6m from 86 to 92.
  • While not all all one-way, T Miller did very well against N Fyfe. - 62m from 1 to 63.
  • Neither having much reason to brag, N Wilson and S Flanders were hard to separate - though N Wilson was slightly more effective. - 0m from 93 to 93.
  • While not all all one-way, S Sturt had the better of S Lemmens. - 92m from 7 to 99.

Congratulations, Suns and manangatang. Thanks to all the Suns supporters, you lot have embraced this more than any other clubs supporters and you deserve this Premiership.

I can't see where it has been announced, so the Norm Smith Medallist is Jarrod Witts of the Suns, closely followed by Nat Fyfe.

There are a large number of people without whom this interim competition would never have gotten off the ground. Loonerty and NaturalDisaster had the energy and imagination to get the concept off the ground, and were involved in the process all the way through in simming and posting games.

Thanks to Chief and the moderators of the AFL board for allowing us to post the games and hosting the competition, Wooshette in particular who took on a huge load of posting games and managing the threads for us.

All the simmers, Loons, ND, Barrybran, Kennedy Parker and Art Vandelay - it is a commitment to generate the games that most people do not understand.

Huge appreciation to Ljp86 for maintaining the ladder after every round, and also to Cadaver for taking on the stats in the first half of the season.

The efforts of all the club coaches, or ambassadors, should not be underestimated. manangatang, TheInjuryFactory serial_thrilla haydo, ClarkeM Jeremias eth-dog Jack The Godfather Chipmunk SarahSmiles harry000 The Filth Wizard GremioPower Sterge Kennedy Parker Gosaints12 BallaratBulldog and Barrybran all posted match threads, named their teams and communicated the results to their home boards to varying degrees, but all made significant commitments and contributions.

Finally, a shout out to Mobbs, for without his sim program none of this would have been possible.

I hope that you enjoyed this little taste of qooty, there is a finals series going on right now on the SFA board featuring all the above people playing for their fantasy teams. Games are posted Sunday afternoons, pop over for a look.

We are all footy fans, we all are hanging out for the AFL season to resume. Go [my team], I hope that we beat [your team] and rub your faces in it afterwards!
