Welcome to this Round 4 clash of BigFooty's very own, inaugural 2020 e-AFL Premiership Season. With the real season in limbo, our team will be recreating the terminated AFL season in a series of simulated games over the coming weeks, in a jam-packed, action-filled series of 153 games plus a finals series.
These are simulated games, using the names of AFL players, but all teams have an equal chance. There is as much hope for Suns supporters as there is for the Richmond fans of a premiership at the end. There is no home ground advantage, and the weather conditions are random but do affect the type of game.
The sim program also gives votes towards a Brownlow Medal for each game, which will be compiled and a winner announced during finals.
With so little else on, sit back and cheer your e-AFL team to victory!
MATCH PREVIEW
The Dockers come into this one with a head full of steam, having won their last two e-AFL games in a row to get their season off to an ideal start. They travelled to Marvel Stadium in Round 3 to tackle the Saints and after an evenly matched first half, they pulled away in the second half to outgun the Saints by 41 points. They'll be keen to continue their hot run of form on Wednesday back on their home deck.
While the winless Blues are looking for a much needed reverse in fortunes before the season slips away from them. After two close losses against and the Pies, they copped a hiding on Sunday at Marvel Stadium, as a rampant Bulldogs outfit demolished them at home to the tune of 68 points. They'll be hoping to take a Freo side full of confidence off guard, as they seek to open their 2020 e-AFL account with a shock away win at Perth Stadium.
Jesse Hogan
The hulking Freo forward is coming off a big bag of 8 goals against the Saints, having missed round 1 due to an interrupted pre season he finds himself well and truly back in the race for the Coleman. Will be looking to go on with it in a likely head to head match up with Blues journeyman Liam Jones.
Adam Cerra
Best on ground in Freo's first win of the season against Port Adelaide with 38 touches in the centre, he's found himself playing multiple positions as the Freo MC have juggled the magnets looking for the right combination. Currently sitting at #2 in the comp for handballs, he is expected to make his way back into the engine room this week after performing a role on the half back flank against the Saints.
Matthew Kreuzer
The Blues will be looking for a lift from their star ruckman as the former number 1 draft pick has made an indifferent start to his e-AFL season. Currently sitting at #10 overall for hitouts in the competition, Carlton will be hoping the big man can find some form over in Perth and provide a happy homecoming for skipper Patty Cripps with plenty of supply.
