ESSENDON FOOTBALL CLUB WEEKLY MEDIA UPDATE

1. Training
The Essendon players will resume training on Monday, January 13 th .
2. Injuries
The following players are currently participating in modified programs Damien Peverill,
Mark Bolton, Simon O'Keefe, Mark Mercuri, Joel Reynolds, James Hird and Matthew
Lloyd.
3. Media Opportunity – Rye Gift
An initiative of the Bombers 2003 preseason has been the introduction of an electives
program. Players had the opportunity to choose from a number of training electives. The
groups have been training together once a week for the past two months with specialised
instructors. This Saturday, January 11 th the running group will compete in the 70m sprint
at the Rye Gift.
There will be an opportunity for vision and interviews at the Rye Gift. Interviews can be
arranged at the end of the race. Matthew Lloyd, Sean Wellman, Adam Ramanauskas,
Jordan Bannister, Toby McGrath, Cory McGrath, Joel Reynolds, Darren Walsh and Scott
Howard will compete at the Rye Gift meeting and fitness coach John Quinn will also be
available for comment.

Venue: Rowley Reserve, Melbourne Rye Road
