Travel E-Sim recommendation for travel to Europe

Hi all, i've used a physical sim card for internet usage in Europe on my last couple of trips, but was wondering if anyone thinks e-sims might be the go. Pros/cons? Recommendations?
Just going to be in Italy for a couple of weeks, and in the past i have used the Lebara EU sim purchased here before travel. No issues with it, but wanted to see if there were better alternatives now.

I've used Airalo before (mainly because they had some good cashback deals) & had no issues with them but generally esims are more expensive than physical. Airalo currently has a sale on a couple of the Italy Esims.

I used Holafly which worked really well. Took about five minutes to set up and would definitely use it again.

Didn't have it whilst I was in Italy but worked fine while I was travelling from Budapest - Vienna - Nuremberg - Munich - Krakow.

Plenty of options available for multiple destinations, both physical and e-sim

Used them in Europe and the US/Canada, easy to set up and had no issues

I used Airalo when I went last time, worked really well.

Can setup to use your normal SIM for messages / voice and the Airalo one for data if you want to keep your number active. Suited me well.

sim i used was through Bouygues Telecom (french) as i landed in France, but used it everywhere i went in western europe that trip and it worked great

defs recommend esim to physical - so easy to set up and use

e-sim is great cause you can still access your Aus number without changing sims if you need to (as i discovered i needed plenty of times for 2 factor authorisation)
