So for us PS4/Wii U plebs, will the Xbox be a more cost effective console in the long term for higher performance gaming?

Seriously so so good, people will mock them for it though. They really can't win.

I think the reasoning behind the mock is correct though.

They're basically steering people towards buying PC's rather than their own hardware. While in a way it's probably something they always wanted anyway (as an easy out if the Xbox One variations from here suffer as it already was) it does make it a weird choice when still offering up a console for people to buy.

I guess it just makes the Xbox One a hard sell now, as the games are starting to impress me more and more but then I think why would I buy an Xbox One when I could just upgrade my PC for a little more cash?

Catch up recommended for Ubi. If you're a South Park fan i suggest watching that part of the conference. Everything else youtube.

But that's just it, they're doing something that benefits gamers rather than the business. They deserve to be commended for it.
