'Deadly' - get your hand off it. If he had hold of him around the neck or throat there might be some truth to this comment, but seeing as though it wasn't as he had hold of him around the jaw this 'deadly' comment is just a lie.

Think you might need to re-read what EH wrote.

1) that's how he got his first goal on Saturday.

2) how is that unfortunate? ;)

1/ He did, but there were in this game and have been plenty of other occassions thru the course the year where he should have received better protection from the ump's. This article shows that it isn't a new thing: link

2/ It isn't. Please leave the current format in place.

I love the way that people use a commentary piece/opinion article to confirm their opinions. These people are self-appointed experts and using them to back you up just highlights an argument's inadequacies and one's inability to interpret an article.

Just quietly.

Especially if the 'expert' in question is Grarnt Thomas.

1. Because Hall get's monstered every week and so far has received no protection. If he starts to get looked at fairly from now on it's a win for our team. And yes he is a big boy and can look after himself, but it would be nice to see the umpires pay him the occassional free.

2. Unfortunately they don't hand out flags after rd 9... If they did Collingwood would win it every year..... but yes we do need to win one.

1. But what's with Rocket bitching and moaning about sniping against little Gia Carridies and the like?

2. I was under the impression that the Bullies have been a hard team for 5 to six years.

We are now in fact a very good contested football and are quite often let down by our skills, but I am happy to let you base your statements on how we played 5 or 6 years ago.

So, where's the flag?

We did, but we also had good contibutions from our younger generation who are performing well in our team. We also have some good kids who have not yet made their mark who are being allowed to develop their bodies and games in the VFL.

Trying to replace our 26-29 year olds in 3 to 6 years time will no doubt be a challenge, but I am very comfortable to where we currently sit in terms of list development.

However I really I am waiting for Roosurgence's response on this subject as he seems to be a poster with his finger on the pulse and will be able to give me a good run down on the Bulldogs list for all of us to read.

Do you want me to just re-type what Andy did? I think he summed it up pretty perfectly:thumbsu:

You call Scott Thompson a pest. I would think that you my friend are more of a pest than Scott Thompson will ever be. As I said I'm not sure why you are even bothering trying to defend the rubbish that was on display on Saturday and North were a big part of that. Surely you can go and tell all your Doggie mates about how good you think your side is and how much of a good bloke Barry is? Because I don't think many people here really give a ****.

Can I make it simple for you:

1. Barry Hall is shit bloke that lost his temper again
2. Rodney Eade is a sook

I think those two points sum it up from my point of view.

The retaliation was due to a build up of antagonising actions by Thompson and not just the bump per say.

You forgot also forgot to add his frustration at not being able to get a kick and the overall shitness that he was displaying.

But you keep conveniently leaving that out for some reason? Maybe because it doesn't suit your argument?

He didn't get a kick against Richmond, St Kilda or Melbourne either and didn't blow off an inch of steam in those matches. It's your prerogative to measure a forward's impact only by the number of goals he kicks and not by the defensive pressure he applies in the forward 50 or the space he unselfishly creates for other forwards to cash in.

The only pressure I saw Barry applying was his headlock on Scott Thompson. But well done for showing such self control Barry and squeezing a bloke until he finds it hard to breathe:rolleyes:

Well since your so happy with his performance, I hope that Bazza keeps displaying that level of football for the rest of the year.

I can't wait until this knob blows another fuse, going to be fun hearing what that whiney little girl Rocket blames next time.
