Nice Fivey, but surely it should be the Johnny Gastev Medal?

Yeah was tossing up between Gastevich and Snotts. Couldn't remember if Gastev played for Fitzroy as well as the Bears, and I was sure Zanotti did so he won out.

I'm with fivey, in addition to the divine ponytail

He also sported the crazier beard at one stage as well

Now that's a real man, looks like he should be a lumberjack or something :p

Round 11 - West Coast v Carlton @ Subiaco

On a cold and damp Thursday night, an inaccurate West Coast came from behind at three-quarter-time to run over the Blues and win by 10 points.

Round 13 - Collingwood v West Coast @ MCG

A top of the table clash that turned out to be one of the games of the year. West Coast looked dead and buried a couple of times but fought back, and in the end were desperately unlucky to go down by just 3 points.

Proving that he's incredibly dangerous when not tagged, Daniel Kerr had another standout game for West Coast and added the Chipper Adkins medal to his other two best-afield awards for the season so far.

Scooter still comfortably in the lead. Very much a midfielder's award at the moment with Scooter, Kerr, Priddis, Gaff and Shuey all in the top 6, with only Waters representing the defenders at the top.

Votes will go in camera at the end of round 17 (or when it looks like Scooter might not be able to be caught, whichever is sooner :p)

Scooter does deserve his position. There are a few that deserve to be close to him but he has been unbelievable.

Round 14 - West Coast v Gold Coast @ Subiaco

A clinical and ruthless display from West Coast against a dispirited Suns outfit saw the Eagles win by 126 points.

In a game where West Coast had winners all over the ground, Luke Shuey stood out with 32 touches and 3 goals and is a worthy winner of the Bluey McKenna Medal.

Round 11 - West Coast v Carlton @ Subiaco

A near-unanimous best on ground - all but 12 of the 49 voters gave him maximum votes - ruckman Nic Naitanui had possibly his best game for West Coast and is a deserving winner of the Callum Chambers medal.
Matt Clape?

Round 15 - North Melbourne v West Coast @ Bellerive

On a rare trip to Hobart, an injury-hit West Coast fell almost 6 goals behind early but recovered to hit the front and then hold on grimly for a nail-biting 2 point win.

You voted as follows:
Code:

Dean Cox 220 4.89

Chris Masten 1 0.02
Jack Darling 1 0.02

Evergreen ruckman Dean Cox was the catalyst for West Coast's epic comeback and that was reflected in the votes, with all but 5 of the 45 voters giving him top points. He receives the Daniel McConnell Medal to add to his two other wins from earlier in the season.

Despite what I said a couple of weeks ago, votes will go in camera from this point on with only the best-on-grounds being announced.

Round 16 - West Coast v Sydney @ Subiaco

In the top-of-the-table clash at Subiaco, West Coast were forced to take in a depleted side due to injury and suspension and were consequently handed a shellacking by the Swans, going down by 52 points.

Votes will be disclosed at the end of the season.

In the meantime, in the closest MVP voting of the season Chris Masten was adjudged best afield for the losing side. He receives the Tony Begovich Medal for his efforts.

Round 17 - Adelaide v West Coast @ Football Park

For the second straight week, an understrength Eagles lineup was handed a thumping by a fellow top-4 contender. West Coast were never in the hunt in this one and ended up on the wrong side of a 49-point deficit.

Votes will be reported at the end of the season.

Notably, Andrew Gaff was given top votes by each of the 29 voters in this game. Gaffy is the first player this season to be unanimously voted the best on ground, and receives the Ian Downsborough Medal to add to his Zanotti Medal from back in May.

Round 18 - West Coast v Brisbane @ Subiaco

Bouncing back from two straight heavy losses, West Coast smashed Brisbane from pillar to post and ran out winners by 98 points.

Votes will be disclosed at the end of the season.

A vast majority of voters gave full points to Nic Naitanui for his eye-catching game. Naitanui dominated the highlight reel as well as the match, and receives the Kevin Caton Medal to add to his Chambers Medal from earlier this season.

Round 19 - Fremantle v West Coast @ Subiaco

Fremantle won by 65 points. The less said about this match the better.

Votes will be disclosed at the end of the season.

Daniel Kerr slogged his guts out in a losing effort and wins the Tony Godden Medal, his fourth BOG of the season.

Top effort Fivey. I remember when this used to be the BigFooty West Coast Player of the Year. Or the BFWCPOTY. I created this back in the day. Had gala nights when we would all arrive for a Oscars kind of red carpet event. Good times. I see the name of the award has changed.

Aww, umad?

Round 20 - West Coast v Geelong @ Subiaco

Geelong led at every change, but West Coast hit the front in a tense last quarter and held on for a five-point win.

Votes will be announced at the end of the season.

Evergreen ruckman Dean Cox was in sublime form and receives the Brett Spinks Medal, his fourth BOG so far.
