Now that the A5 has matched for Darcy, now its:

GC has traded their pick 5 to WC for pick 12 + 31 buddymania

WC has then traded pick 5 + 37 to GWS for pick 7 + 15 + 26 daddy_4_eyes

The wording on this is backwards. Stop scaring me. I actually had to go and check who had which draft picks to make sure I'm ripping you off and not vice versa.

For clarity, GWS trade 5+37 for 7, 15 & 26

**** this draft, clearly draft tampering with massive West Coast Eagles bias going on! Who would've thought.

Eddie just phoned me, he's gone purple with rage.
My name isn't Eddie but after seeing that as an Ardent ;) Eagles supporter...I'm Purple...With a Rager

Alright *deep breath* AsterixTheGaul is the points man it seems, I'll update the picks when the magic happens.

Wasn't expecting this much trading! It'll calm down shortly I'd imagine.
Here are the first 2 rounds post the bids matched and the Pieman's saviour
Edited for pick 26

You know what, this pick matching crap has confused the fk out of me. I thought I was holding #4 and WCE somehow got their hands on pick 6 to trade to me.

Falco swindled me!
Got it from Buddymania in a previous trade mate

GWS pick Neil Erasmus with pick #5

Reasoning

GWS has a star studded team courtesy of a decade of 1st round draft picks, so there aren't really holes to plug. That said, a quality up & coming ruck would have come in handy, but I'm not convinced a pick this early in the draft for Mac Andrew is justified, when he's probably 5+ years away from leading the ruck. I.e. not plugging any holes!

So why Erasmus when the highly rated Hobbs & Ward are still available? Size, versatility, athleticism and class. A quick look at his highlights shows that he stands out amongst the other prospects trying to prove themselves. He takes marks, finds the footy, moves through traffic like they're not even there and finds the right option.

While there's criticism that his disposal could be better, it's not like he butchers the ball. In fact, his disposal is pretty damn good more often than not. And in an AFL era of chaos football, being able to pick the correct option is more important than hitting a teammate with a bullet sideways kick.

Standing at 189cm, he has all the makings of a future A-grader.

Background

Height, Weight:
189cm, 82kg
Profile: A strong marking, elite ball reader, Erasmus is one of this year's more unique midfielders with the way he impacts games. He has developed into a strong contested ball winner who can push forward, hit the scoreboard and with a late year birthday and rapid rate of improvement is one of this year's high upside midfield choices.

Refer Falco's original post before the Darcy match.
I think I can clarify

Post DD is post Darcy and Daicos

Suns trade out 4 (post DD 5) to WC for 10 (post DD 12) and 30 (post DD 31)
WC trade 4 (post DD 5) and 36 (36 post DD) to GWS for 5 (post DD 7), 13 (post DD 15) and 25 (post DD 26)

Happy?
