Why does it have to be different? It's ridiculous that we even have a 'home' and 'away' jumper - look at Essendon, Collingwood, Hawthorn, Richmond, Freo etc. All have great, iconic jumpers that they always wear unless there's a clash. Just make the current 'away' jumper our regular one, and the Wings with white shorts as the clash. The whole 'home' and 'away' jumper garbage is exclusively for merchandising.

Of course it's for merchandising, exactly the reason we would never go back to just one guernsey. Again, we have had 2 separate home and away jumpers since 1995 that won't change so let's just be happy we might have continuity in our jumper design and do what heaps of other teams do with different colours for home and away

Which we would have the same, both wings, same design, just navy home royal away, like freo have same design, purple home, white away, same with all those other teams you mentioned. At the moment we have 3 completely different designs, let's try get some continuity in our design by all voting wings and just accepting that the club want navy. We can't have it all our way, but I'm sure we all agree that wings for home and away is better than what we have now, regardless of colour preference

The club wants navy as it's an easier colour to use in merchandise other than the jumper itself. For that reason they're not going to move away from navy which is not an unreasonable position to take.

That they've listened to an extent and look like bringing back the wings albeit on a navy jumper does show a willingness to take some notice of the fans

We would all prefer royal as our home guernsey.....it isn't going to happen, the club have said so in person and straight out, I don't know what more people need to hear to realise that navy is going to be the colour, whether it be tri panel or wings. To use the argument about history and heritage, royal was our home guernsey for 6 seasons, navy 20 so much a people don't like it, it has it's own history.

Going by what Gary was saying, I think the club, other than those involved in selling merch, would rather royal than navy, but as long as navy tracksuit pants and polos are easier to sell than royal equivalents, we're stuck with navy on at least one guernsey.

Navy can't be used for our away jumper, as it clashes with too many of the Melbourne sides' home jumpers, so it looks like being navy at home, and royal away forever more. I'd rather have navy wings than tripanel any day though.

The club went about co-opting the RtW campaign by making the RtW option "navy and wings" instead of its initial intent of royal and wings. If in the face to face meeting that some here may have had with the WCE, if they allowed such co-opting by the WCE over the fans' campaign then they've sold the campaign well short.

I quite like the navy wings. I was always a fan of it when we wore it in the late 90's. Fingers crossed they bring back the yellow peril though - Hands down the best guernsey we ever had.

Unfortunately no, I assume that's why it was changed, it didn't have that prestigious design heritage behind it.

I'm actually the same. I was spewing when it came in, I think I just wanted it all to stay the same, but over the years it grew on me, and I then was annoyed when it was replaced by the flying eagle tri panel.

I guess we all struggle with change but get used to it after a while, let's just hope this is a change we can all be happy with, or at least learn to live with (I'm talking to all you navy haters out there!!!)

One of my points of contention has been what "you" means wrt "How do you feel about navy + wings?". "You" certainly hasn't been about getting the gist of what the majority are saying in the campaign, but rather the agreed upon view of those who represented the RtW campaign in the face to face meeting.
