Doesn't have to be new

The original song is superior to the current. But both suffer terribly from corniness. Just listen closely to the way the chorus is sung in both versions - sounds like a Christian campfire singalong. Not sure if this is just the recording or if the chorus is just too high pitched to be manned up.

My preference would be for a totally new song (see the Giants song or Eskimo Joe's proposed song for Freo for how it can be done well). But I'd like to hear the current song re-recorded and sung with some grunt. Get Tom Waits or the reanimated corpse of Louie Armstrong on the mic.

A verse or two would be nice as well. The song is awkwardly short when sung in the huddle after the game.

I like our song, especially the original because it was sung with more enthusiasm, but the current version sounds really boring.
It's certainly a lot better than some of the other interstate teams' songs, e.g. Freo, Port, GCS. GWS's song is pretty good, while Adelaide's and Brisbane's ones are not original songs.

That should be much easier I reckon, especially if we already have 2 of the 3 jumpers with the same design. Plus clubs seem to change their clash jumpers much more often so maybe it's less red tape for the clash.
