Cmon lets be honest nobody but Sabre and Kuepper actually thought that the Dockers would win. I was never worried, we were in control from the start and never relinquished it.

3 times this morning I have posted the same thing, and I'll go with the 4th, one last time ... is it the lack of practice, or is just being blinded by beating the mighty Freo Jugganaut but whatever happened to the term 'Gracious in Victory' lol

I was very gracious in victory.

I hardly took the p iss out of any of the anchors in our area. I was too busy singing our song, cheering our players and cleaning beer off our bags (thanks Gary).

However I have lodged an objection to the lady who won $35,000 at three quarter time in the Optus Challenge. Question 3, which won her a cool $5,000, was "which clubs have never finished bottom of the AFL/VFL?". Her answer was WEST COAST EAGLES, Port Adelaide, Adelaide Crows, Carlton and the Fremantle Dockers.

I object to the Fremantle Dockers as it was reasonably foreseeable at 3/4 time that they would finish bottom of the ladder this year.

My highlight of the day was at the start some guy who was holding up the Freo banner was trying to get a 'Dockers' chant going before the game. The stupid fool was trying to get the people in the 2 tier stand to cheer although obviously he neglected the fact that is WAS an Eagles crowd and half the people were laughing at him and the other half were starting up our own chant.

As an eagles supporter, whose team won on the day, the highlight was that a passionate opposition supporter tried to get a chant going before the game?

The way I read the post, he was laughing about the fact that the guy was attempting to get the 2TS crowd (95% Eagle members etc) chanting for the Dockers. Call us uneducated if you like, but we aren't that uneducated

Touche. But out of interest, what should he have taken as the highlight? The Eagles win? We've seen that in 12 of the last 14 Derbies. The final score? Good, but not really comparable to the 117 point drubbing we dished out last year. Cousins rampant? We see that every week. The good form of the juniors? That's been improving gradually for weeks. Jakovich dominating Pavlich? When you've seen Jako shut down the likes of Carey, why get excited about him beating Pavlich?

The fact is, the game was pretty lacklustre and not really a good test of where either team are at. In that context, you take your highlights where you find them, I guess.

Now if only my team could score as easily against your mob as I can againt you all here, the world would be a better place
