I was at the game. Whilst I acknowledge the Bulldogs were undermanned a lot of encouraging signs were evident from the Eagles.

Morrison, Cousins, Seira and Wirra were outstanding. Banfield and Fletcher were good.

Cousins looks huge. He looks set for an outstanding year which could be anything - my tip for a Brownlow - seriously. But we would have to win more games than would be evident at this point for him to poll well.

A lot of encouraging signs from new players Tayler and Merenda.

Young players - Kerr, Munro, Cox, Glass were exciting

Good to have Braun and Cummings back. Some Game time would have done them good.

If only Troy Wilson could show more than glimpses of the spectacular.

Still quite a few of a stars did not play - Both Materas, Kemp, Gardiner, Jones

I have grave reservations about Wilson and Cummings in the same forward line. Far to cumbersome I would have thought.

Jako needs to be more productive with his disposal. But played a great game.

Anyway I am satisfied with a 9 Goal Win. A Win is a Win. We needed it.

Go Eagles

Im just happy that we got a win. Give some confidence back to the boys. Although looking at all the Bulldogs that didnt play makes a bit of a soft win but as they say a wins a win.

Are the stats up on the WCE website?

Im gonna go check

From the WCE site:
The only down side was that explosive defender David Wirrpunda left the ground in the second term with a hamstring twinge. He does not expect it to keep him out of the first round clash against Geelong at Shell Stadium on April 1.

*** Fingers crossed! ***

They were undermanned?? Well who cares? Opposition fans did not let us use that excuse and so we should not let them use it.

Great win if i say so myself. We beat a team by 50pts that is expected to be in the top 6 this year and we were still missing some key players ourselves. Great win and gives me hope of maybe a top 8 finish.

But like my friend said, 1 in a million is not skill, just luck. So the eagles need to prove him wrong.

CARN THE EAGLES!!!!!!!!!

A win's a win at the end of the day, and for our younger players it will do their confidence the world of good and right now we have a winning streak to take into Round 1
