Should mallen be given a shot at afl level given our current situation?

Vardy should be match fit after three wafl games.I would only play the two allens or brander if they are the third forward.i would also ony play them at home against a lesser opponent.

Just thinking about how the team would look if we had a standalone reserves side and no limit on how many AFL listed players could play

B:Watson Ollen ...
HB: England Rotham Mutimer
C: Partington Sheed Brayshaw
HF: Venables Mellen Bayok
F: Petruccelle Brander Olango
R: Vardy Ainsworth Ah Chee
I: Burrows ... ... ...

Mids and forwards look pretty strong but the defence is short handed.

Doesn't help that of just five guys not playing this week, four are key position players and two are fullbacks.

Eagles have a very unbalanced squad too tall and a lot of young first and second year players.Add another 4 tall players in to this side would make it a very slow side as well.Having to play all your players in a stand alone team means managed time becomes a nightmare with rotations. One or two injuries and your kuput. It may quicken development of some players but I suspect players will have to play key roles too early at wafl level and may kill their confidence as well.

Interesting stat I've just seen, when Partington plays East Perth winning ratio is just over 30%, when he doesn't play it is 80%. Partingtons Curse is real folks. Doesn't matter how the stat sheet looks, you can still be a burden on the team with 30+ disposals.

Happens to a list when you load up to meet the 12 month absence of two talls in 2017, toss in the opportunity to grab Mitch - if the kids battle to meet the step from U18s to WAFL, its not that theyre not good enough, there is always the Reserves.

I can understand it when West coast plays on a Saturday or sunday but since west coast has already played it seems pathetic that the side has not been adjusted to include the 4 players
Yeah it's weird. The Eagles game had commenced before the WAFL teams were named so I've got no idea why the four guys couldn't have been included.

Ressies game has started, Bayok Burrows Brayshaw and Olango all playing. Only three of the 22 named in the seniors (Hille, Bayok and Eaton) are playing so someone's missing somewhere.
