I've seen this reference come up a few times but had no idea of the context behind it!
Get on to the Podcast, it's great listening to the behind the scenes stuff for the Eagles.
Other highlights from last week was Duggan and Nelson talking about sharing a house together and going through other previous stories about teammates house sharing.

They also lifted the lid on the real reason Butler was a late out against Adelaide last season at Subi.

Always some interesting tidbits.

Summary of the West's summary

Ah Chee: Working into form
Ainsworth: Strong game
Mellen: Worked hard
Ollen: Outmatched as key back
Bayok: Provided some dash
Brander: Won plenty of contests
England: No great impact
Karpany: Found the ball as a wingman and high forward
McInnes: Continues to set high standard
Mutimer: Quiet day
Partington: Main midfielder
Rotham: Outstanding in defence
Schofield: Organised defence well
Watson: Flashed in and out

Olango: Hurt a knee late

Burrows: forgot he was on our list altogether
Have they finally realised that Branders first name is Jarrod and not Jacob?

Olango injured knee late in final quarter of reserves hopefully its minor
Damn, that's disappointing. He described himself as injury prone on his profile on the NT Thunder website (page no longer available), but hopefully he can have a good run after this.

Written by John Townshend so take little notice. Spends a lot of his time at WAFL games walking around making sure people know he's there. Writes these descriptions as an after thought.

Someone tell me about Oscar Allen, how is he going in the WAFL and even though it's early days how do you think he will go in the future?

This is the guy we chose over Tim Kelly, so fingers crossed he can make an impact in the future

East Perth have been playing well for the last few weeks then Partington comes back and they struggle to beat the worst team in the WAFL. I'm sure it's only a coincidence.

To be fair it was a blustery day. Statistically we smashed em just didn't kick straight. 66 inside 50's is a lot of opportunities. Not much difference in output from Ainsworth and Partington. I am neutral on either of them. 6 games from Partington and 0 from Ainsworth makes it hard to judge their talent.

Has easily surpassed Watson. At the moment I would say Watson is delist material. He started really well last year except he was prone to a few too many mistakes.Since he came back from injury last year he hasn't been the same player.
should we trial him as a Hff where the odd blunder wouldn’t hurt as much.

He's just been signed to a two year deal and has been in the emergencies a few times including one trip to Melbourne.

I haven't gotten to any East Perth games this year but in the one that was televised recently he looked a million bucks.
