His last two weeks have been ordinary.Would rather Ameduri,Dobson,Miller play instead of Bayok and England.East perth won't win games with a team not picked on merit, balance also too many inexperienced players and not enough leadership.Even with a few eagles back this week I doubt east perth will get within ten goals of subi.I wonder how many managed guys will get games this week.Hopefully they get more then 4 touches.
I think you might be showing a predetermined bias against the Eagles rookies, and I can understand that if you're a long time East Perth supporter.. but I think you're selling Bayok short. You say he's been ordinary the last 2 weeks, but the first of those games he had 17 possessions and 7 tackles. For reference, someone like Ameduri who you would prefer has only had 1 game with more possessions this season when he got 19 possessions in round 4 playing reserves.

Agree with Chaddy22 re selecting the team on merit. There was no need to drop Ameduri as the West Perth midfield has consistently smashed the EP midfield for years now.
It is not an insult to an AFL listed player to play reserves. I don’t know why the Eagles are so intent on keeping players out of reserves and rushing them into seniors too early. It benefits nobody, Vardy was useless. And I like England but he should have played reserves for the first half of this year. It doesn’t help his development to have minimal influence in games and be smashed by bigger stronger opponents.
I used to blame East Perth for bad performances but the Eagles aren’t doing anybody any favours. All players on drastically limited minutes should come back through reserves.
Karps and Mutimer are busts, sad to say.

I am a east perth member first and eagles supporter second. Both Bayok and England are rookies which means they are least likely to be playing afl this season. If I had to choose one i would play Bayok as he has played more wafl then England. If you look at the figures Ameduri has been racking up better figures in most games then both Bayok and England.Ameduri got dropped for the west perth game after 24 disposals and 7 tackles and a goal the week before.Unless it was for disciplinary reasons one of England or Bayok should have made way for the three returning eagles. Both had minimal impact.Another of my pet hates is managed game time.Vardy 4 disposals and hardly any time in the ruck last week .I did say before the west perth game I expected a 5 goal loss and I was pretty close. With so many inexperienced players being pushed into the team so early and especially in the backline it makes it hard to win games. You guys are looking for development I am looking for wins. The eagles guys will be fit by the end of the season chasing opponnents but will they be better?

I agree with you Eagle Eye.Last year Venables played a few reserves games after a late start to pre season but this year guys seem to come straight into the team after a extended time after injury also I suspect on managed time.Last year East Perth failed to make the five and one of the reasons was that certain guys who were not performing were not allowed to be dropped to the reserves (Tom Lamb). It cost us a chance to play finals. With the eagles definitely going to play finals what do you guys want.Do you want to develop as many players at wafl league level if it means east perth don't make the finals or have East Perth make the finals and give some match practice for those who are pushing for a afl recall. After three losses in a row and some tough games coming up I doubt east perth will make the five. Some tough calls coming up in the next few weeks with a few eagles coming back from injury. How many talls can you fit in the east perth side with Schofield and McKenzie coming back.Somebody has to make way and I doubt it will be all east perth players.

Maybe. But they can’t learn ‘cohesion’ playing for reserves, can they? Doesn’t mean players shouldn’t be dropped to reserves, but if u can get 15 touches for seniors, as England did, that’s enough to keep going and build on.

East Perth signed up to alignment, not just having the better eagles players and the rest rotting away in reserves.

A Victorian kid doesn’t want to be so far removed from eagles by playing wafl reserves against players who don’t see him as a team mate either.

I suspect tom Lamb wasn't seen as much of a team mate and he was playing league

Spoiler alert for the WAFL season. Subiaco is going to win the GF.

No straight in at the eagles.Could be up to 20 available at east perth a good time to put Oallen in the midfield with both Olango and Burrows as well.
Was there any update on Burrows' tanty last round? I know that came from Barney but you seem pretty well connected with the Royals as well.

Didn't go last week. The two grounds I refuse to go to are joondy and Rushton park.I haven't heard anything about what happened.I watched his stats during the reserves and like many though he might be inured when he was stuck on two disposals. To end with 4 disposals tanty or no tanty suggests he won't be making a league debut yet.

B: Watson MacKenzie Anderson
HB: Fraser Schofield Rotham
C: Blee Ameduri Wellingham
HF: Maginness M.Allen Wright
F: Hille McInnes Petruccelle
R: Vardy McGinnity Partington
I: Bayok Cahill Dobson England Gorter Hart Mutimer

In: Ameduri, Dobson, Gorter, Hart, Mackenzie, Schofield

Out: Ainsworth, O.Allen, Brander (all WCE)

Plenty of Eagles available this week with Ainsworth, Ollen, Arch and Hutchings all chances to parachute back into the side, although possibly one or two of them will be held over to ensure they're available for Thursday night footy next week. Bayok and England are as always in danger of being dropped, though I'd be surprised if Mutimer was.

Brayshaw is returning through the reserves, Olango has been named there as well but there's no sign of Burrows after his reported dummy spit prior to the bye. I'm sure the club will quickly update us as to his status.

Apparaently Burrows cut his lip from the dummy spit.I wouldn't be surprised if mutimer is dropped.Bringing both schofield and McKenzie in may make him the expendable backman especially if Oallen flies back and plays. With a five day break it is hard to know who may be available.I don't expect a 20 goal thashing repeat of the first game. The backline is more solid and I would say Rotham and Watson are relieved to have some reinforcements.Having vardy help mcinnes this time against Clarke helps but as always the midfield is always the achiles heel.Having all of Hutchings, Ahchee and Ainsworth would help but I suspect that won't be the case.I suspect a 5-10 goal loss depending on who comes in.

Barney reported it.He has to be injured or it must be a discipline thing. like barney I wasn't there.

Wasn't there but heard he was abusing team mates during the game, didn't walk off with the team and then stormed out of the changerooms and went home.

Heard more to it than that but waiting to see if anyone can confirm.
