Did they say how much money?[/QUOTE
Not official but some reports are saying its 800k and and some are saying part of that is not paid by the club but the AFL.

It was a joke. Not sure the post above from Imach will go down to well and probably asking a bit to much.
But certainly in my view all excuses now stop. NN is a seasoned AFL player being to now be paid a seasoned AFL super stars salary. There is no longer any more excuses.
I'm happy the club has signed him now and it's done and I look forward to some very significant performances from here on in and the future.
Strong avatar to post correlation. Thought you were actually him for a second.I can't believe we signed this spud for 5 years!!!!!! He needs to show that he can average 40 touches and kick 5 goals a game before we give him 800k a year!!!
People quickly forget how good he was in 2012. Last year he had OP, which is bad enough for a midfielder let alone someone who relies on his explosiveness for every contest. This year was always going to be baby steps in terms of his recovery and coming off very little preseason work. The club must be confident he is going to get back to his best.I've been a bit defensive of him on the Main board.
But is anyone here upset at the supposed money being spent?
I can't for the life of me work out all the hate...not sure if I'm just blinded by support?

If guys leave in the next few seasons, and are getting squeezed out because of salary cap pressure then I guess we know it has backfired, but until then, lets just be happy he has committed to the club, and hope for his best on field form in the near future.
Yeah people are talking like this is definitely going to happen - which can very easily be avoided by front-loading his contract.

$550K? Jeez, In a few years when Nui is absolutely ripping the game to shreds there will probably be an inquiry into how we got him so cheap.if the afl is paying some and he's reportedly on $800K, then at $550K he's a bargain
Firstly, the amount is complete speculation.
Secondly, the contract includes substantial performance incentives.
Finally, he's a brilliant player. If the tossers on the main board can't see that, that's their problem.
If it's in the realm of 500-600k we made out like ******* bandits.
A lot of BigFooty posters want Naitanui, one of the most exciting players in the AFL, to play poorly, because of what other people say about him. It'd be funny if it wasn't so sad. Tall poppy syndrome at it's worst.
Rioli gets the same, so does Fyfe and Franklin and Judd etc.
Enjoy the game you miserable campaigners.
