List Mgmt. Eagles must re-sign Naitanui now - and they have

Is it too early to start talking about extending his current contract. Has been huge this year, just shows what a full pre-season can do for him. Cant wait for him after another next year.

He's never leaving the Eagles if we can get close to matching any offers that come his way. Would take an absurd offer from a club that was impossible for anyone to turn down for him to leave. Not happening.

1 Million a year???? Kidding me right? That is a lot of money for a highlights reel.
Yes we want to sign him but if that is his price then I wouldn't be paying him it.
But he won't be paid what he is worth, he will be paid for his marketing.
500k per season and he would want to triple his possession count.
:D

I believe Naitanui is a BHP ambassador. Money isn't going to be a factor! He could very likely end up owning an exploration licence or two.

He isn't going anywhere!

Exactly, he is as Eagles as they come. We picked him out, trained him up, and provided him what he needs to be a great player. Plus, why would he want to move to a shithole city in the eastern states, when he's got all his life set up here.

I get the feeling he is absolutely going to tear the finals series to shreds.

He showed glimpses in that 2011 QF against the Pies, but was still far too inconsistant to back it up. This time around he's done the work all year, and should be ready to dominate. Same could be said for a few others who played back then, Shuey, Gaff, Darling (although he killed it in the 2011 SF)

Nic Naitanui is lost on the football field, cannot read the play and must quickly learn how to impact a game beyond the centre bounce, says David Schwarz
“He doesn’t understand the game because he jumps higher than anyone else, runs as fast as anybody and is more agile than most yet has taken one mark this year,” said Schwarz on SEN radio.
“His output is so underwhelming in terms of what he can bring in other areas.”
“The output of Jack Watts stats-wise is a lot greater than Naitanui’s if you take out hit-outs,” said Schwarz.
“Yes they play in different positions but Jack takes more marks and averages more possessions.”

“To see Clarke take his seven grabs last weekend and the way he gets around the ground, I don’t think he lacks anything that Naitanui has,’’ Lloyd said.
“For all the talk that goes with Naitanui, I think this guy (Clarke) is probably a better player at the moment and has huge growth in him.
“I can see Zac Clarke being the best ruckman in the competition in the coming years, whereas I couldn’t say that for Naitanui at the moment.
“With Naitanui, I’m unsure where his next 100 games are going to take him. I can’t speak for what Naitanui brings off-field. But in terms of pure football ability, Naitanui might be a $400,000 player.’’

Never forget. The vicious campaigners in the media were all too quick to tear him down when he had two injury interrupted season.

Now they want to line up and sign his praises. Bugger off, watch more games and get a clue about football and then come back.

Speaking of which, I hope if we win the Grand Final Adam Simpson says "hows this for evil" and pushes Robert Walls off the stage, Frank Lowy style.

He gets ambassador payments from the afl also plus a host of third party deals also

He's not chewing up big coin from our salary cap

You just can't put a price on that shit. Comedy gold. Did lol.

Lol

Easy to understand why Schwarz had such high gambling debts with that sort of insight

And this

The latest is former Essendon champion Matthew Lloyd, who believes Fremantle ruckman Zac Clarke is a better player despite receiving just a a fraction of the pay and publicity.

“To see Clarke take his seven grabs last weekend and the way he gets around the ground, I don’t think he lacks anything that Naitanui has,’’ Lloyd said.

I hate that cheating, flopping, kick 800 under a roof campaigner. Now I kinda feel sorry for him.
If I saw him in public and he had a jar in his hand, I'd so put money in it.
