I'd have to say those bullshit 50 metre penalties which resulted in Eagles goals killed our momentum, but again our goal kicking was atrocious from easy set shots

Absolutely disgraceful.

Not sure if it's confusion as to who does what out there.. or Buckley's micromanagement of his players rearing its ugly head. Time will tell.

And the cherry on top..... the umpires can kiss my f ass.

Our so called star studded midfield may need to stop bathing in their own bathwater and start eating some concrete.
Adams the only one who played with a bit of pride and passion.
Sidebottom, Treloar and Pendles all got pantsed.
And don't come at me with stat, I saw what I saw and they got pantsed.

Pretty poor showing, Eagles were too good on the night. They certainly have us worked out structurally, and their aerial game just doesn’t suit us.

Cox was really poor, I felt he let us down with his lack of contests and dropped marks. He will bounce back.

The midfield got smashed, Adams was the only shining light there. We really need to get our stoppage structures right. Was surprised we didn’t throw Jordy in there.

I think we move Greenwood back, and bring Varcoe in for Aish. Aish got plenty of the pill, but just makes fundamental mistakes and poor decisions. I know Greenwood was quiet, but he was played out of position - we need his intensity and hardness.

Look, we have a lot of work to do.. but with a 22 point loss, we can say at least 4 of their goals came directly from umpire involvement.

A different set of umpires and it most likely would have been our 4 points. So I'm pissed off, but it aint the end of the world!

Exactly the same as round 1.

Absolutely, it was momentum sapping and they were not even penalties.
I’d love for a senior coach to come out and spray the umpiring, make the AFL stand up and take notice.
They are unaccountable

Agree the umps were horrible - but Eagles deserved the win and didn’t win it from umpiring. We got the rub of the green in the last after getting crippled for 3 quarters.

That period in the second when Moore was off really hurt us and proved to be the turning point. A lot of passengers tonight and we were well outplayed and coached.

That only positive is we didn’t let the scoreboard blowout with 22 points flattering us in the end.

Also thought DeGoey presented well up the ground.
