Newspaper had Merenda as one of Eagles best. Richard Taylor too. So there are positives out of the game.
What's the worst thing to come out of the preseason game?
Readys injury.
Clearly playing a trial game with passion and commitment is NOT on the menu.
The game will have been used for the purpose of easing Jako, Cous, Taylor, Merenda gently into match fitness. Next week Scotty will have a short run too. The result and how we played means NOTHING, all that matters is how we are by round 1, and even then we should be below peak, aiming for a small peak around rd 9 and a major peak at finals stage......which we will be in.
