Earlier Friday night games

I am a fan of Friday night footy starting at 7pm or 7.20pm. Perfect time for families and children. 7.50pm is way too late with the game finishing just before 10.30pm

It’s fine when you’re at home. The traffic going to games is a nightmare for 7pm starts.

Early starts are potentially an issue for Perth viewership, with many still at work. Being the second biggest audience for the AFL networks wouldn't like it. Personally, I couldn't care much about the broadcasters but it would alienate the audience for part of a game. Although, arguably so do late finishes and not getting home until around midnight in outer suburbs.

7:10 pm is the golden mean. If second match on from Perth, start that 9: 50 east coast time , which 7:50 pm in Perth

The second match in Perth last night was at 6:40pm which was the normal starting time for Friday night games for many years
