This was just posted on Twitter, the Taylor Walker to Sydney rumour just keeps on growing legs.

Based on his/her track record Walker is absolutely no chance of being at Sydney next year then

"Jack Anthony to Sydney is just about a done deal"
"Expect Melbourne to use pick 52 for Josh Hill"
"Cam Bruce will be a Saint contrary to media reports linking him to Hawks"
"Prestia will be selected with pick 8"
"Expect a straight swap of A.Walker for A.Everitt early in trade week"

Not sure about Spy and Sauce, but wouldn't be surprised if Walker is traded. Both SA clubs could be having a clean out at seasons end.

True....about his track record, however, I keep hearing this rumour on different sites. We'll just have to wait and see. And other people keep hearing this rumour too.

Hey, im new to this but im a mad swans supporter i even have a tattoo of the emblem on my arm, i cant possibly understand people saying we would trade a co captain in Jarrod McVeigh, or our best defender in Heath Grundy just to get a foward in Taylor Walker. Its honestly stupid. If we want Walker that bad we may have to get rid of a bloke like Sumner. Id hate to lose LJ but that might have to happen to get him. Walker is only a yr or 2 older then LJ n Walker has shown i think he will be a gun. If we dont get him it would be simple just play Goodes in his last 2 yrs as a full foward n we have easily enough good midfield to cover him. Defence win premierships n our defence atm is very solid so ppl sayin get rid of Grundy cannot be serious

You have to give quality to get quality. Walker is a 40 game, 76 goal, 21 year old FF capable of doing the absolute freakish. He can kick 50m snaps off one step, he can kick 65m set shots, he's quick and he's smart. He's like a 194cm, 100 kilo, contested marking Nick Davis.... and people are suggesting Sumner and Johnston? Seriously?

It's honestly embarassing.

I can't see us getting Walker, Adelaide already losing Davis to GWS would almost certainly be looking for overs in any trade, and with our first round pick most likely already off the table due to F/S Tom Mitchell I cant see what we would be offering that they would accept.

Having said that would still hope the club does due diligence and has a look at what price they are seeking if he is seeking a trade.

Not Hanners, nor Reid. Possibly Rohan. But I mentioned Grundy before, and I stick by that. It wouldn't be ideal, nor would it be a straight swap (I'd want a pick upgrade or another bonus of some sort at least), but with a good midfield feeding him, Walker could turn a good team into a Premiership-winning one.

None. Rohan just signed a 3 year deal last week?? Unless the other 2 want out, i can't see us giving up any of them.

Like the idea of trading Grundy though, i'm not his biggest fan anyway. Could throw in Jesse White as well.

I would. I'd rather not lose Rohan but if it was a draft situation and both were available right now with everything we know I'd take Walker for sure.

That would be the case on a pure (proven rather than hoped for) ability/talent basis and would increase if I was picking for the Swans given everything we know about the list and their needs looking forward.

If Davis wasn't such a flake he would've been great. Reckon the jury's still out on whether Walker has the attendant problems, but he's certainly got the skill.

No way would I be dealing Rohan to get Walker. Christ, Rohan doesn't play for a while and people forget how good he has been in his brief time here and how much improvement he has left in him.

Nothing against Walker, I hope we can get him somehow. But I don't want him if we have to give up a guy with the ability and potential of Rohan.

Exactly. There are some people who are seriously overrating our players in here.

Rohan has done very little but show promise. And promise is good, promise is great, he's still allowed to be living off promise at his age/stage of development. But compare that to a 21 year old who is already kicking 2 goals per game at AFL level, many of which are simply freakish.

The best part about Walker IMO is that even though he may turn out not to have the intensity or the consistency to hold down FF, he's got the speed, smarts and ridiculous skill to be a gamebreaking third target. At the very worst, he'll still be a player that can win games off his own boot inconsistently. At best, he'll be a player that can win games off his boot consistently!

And Aussie Gun, I'd trade Rohan for Nick Davis at 21 without blinking.
