WTF!

Can imagine him wanting to get away from the whole STK culture and the rep. PM me photo of him and Longmire provided its G rated?

Apparently STK are looking at White?

I would love to manufacture some sort of deal with the Saints to get someone like Goddard, Dal Santo or Fisher here. I know we have a snowflakes chance of that happening, but given their culture of late and so on, you never know when a big name player may suddenly want out..

Any team would benefit with Goddard, but he'd be worth too much.

Thought he hinted at some point this year about potentially leaving, and everyone jumped at it as him suggesting he may go to GWS next year? Maybe we could get in early?

Something like:

Maleceski + White + 2nd Round <=> Goddard?

I know we'd still be paying unders, but I couldn't think of a better deal that we could come up with for him.

That certainly wouldn't get you over the line with Goddard when they (St.Kilda) could trade him to GWS and get O'Meara if they wished.

With Grim's support, I propose Mitch Brown from WCE for anything in the world.

I think Grim wants him for the footballing talent but that's just weird.

M.Brown for Sydney's 2nd, 3rd, 4th draft pick +Rohan +Good Lukeing +McBabe +Reid and a hotel room with m- wait wut?

I agree with the bolded, would be very interested in Brown, (not for the same reasons as vonn)

The problem I see with it is that even fringe KPP's demand value, and I'm not sure WCE would be willing to trade, much in the same way we wont be trading Johnston.

Yeah that wouldn't get the deal done, don't fall into the trap of multiple midteir = top tier

Saints would be after quality, we'd likely have to part with someone of the ilk of Hanners if we were realistically chasing Goddard.

Think the Carlton Judd trade, Kennedy + pick 3 = Judd.

So whilst he may not demand quiet that much, an early first round + decent young player would be a minimum.

I don't know why we aren't trying to get a pick in the GWS mini draft, apparently Stephen Coniglio and Jaeger O'Meara are good friends and with Coniglio reportedly having reservations about moving to West Sydney from WA, having a mate close by could alleviate some concerns, which would make it more likely that Coniglio might stay with GWS after his 2 year contract is up.

We don't have draft picks to offer but maybe a package of players like Jetta, Everitt and Malceski for pick 1 or Seaby, White and TDL.

Probably won't be enough to get it done if St Kilda offers Goddard or GC offer pick 4 but it's worth a try.

We gotta make sure we don't get dudded by Adelaide. This is the trend of the conversation on the Crows forum about Armstrong:
"Good point! we should be talking him up to the champion he really is...

Massive loss to the club, we may never see his like again.... ;) "

It could be they just put him in the side to raise his value. Some Crows fans say he might have been delisted if not for those last games, 4 of which were against bottom sides.

I think John Longmire will be able to see beyond the smoke and mirros campaign of the Adeillade board.

The point about the no pressure and weak opposition is also a good point. I didn't wach much of the crows finish to 2011 so I cant comment on his form. I do remember some of 2010 and there were times I thought the kid could kick a bit and had a football brain but I recall having seen little of him if the Crows didn't have the ball. I'm taking a lot of what's been said about him on faith and there's more reason to want him than just his finish to 2011.

Just on a bit of an unrelated topic, I just finished watching the VFL Grand Final, and watched both Preliminary Finals last weekend. Dean Galea from Port Melbourne kicked 5.5 last week from 20 possessions and today I think he got 6.3 from 17 possessions. Hands are solid and like the commentators said today, if you put it out in front of him it is almost impossible to beat him in a contest due to his strength. If blokes like Dawes etc are found to be unavailable perhaps Galea is an option as a mature age recruit to play the lead up forward that we so desparately need!

Found these stats on a Carlton forum talking about him last Wednesday:
Name: Dean Galea
D.O.B.: 11 Jan 1985
Height (cm): 188
Weight (kg): 93

Turns 27 in Jan 2012

Good kick for goal inside 40m, nice hands and a a smart lead to space. Question marks is his take off speed one level up for the game. Worth a look for a late pick if no other lead out forward comes up.

It would never happen, but you'd think that would be a first in footy. One team working with another so one can draft the mate of a gun so he'd feel more at home in another city.

Pipe dream, I think.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't make an offer.

Worth a rookie spot at best. Struggled in the SANFL against 'genuine' bigger bodies. He had Sandilands today?

Warnock to GWS

He aint that big as i've had a few frothies with him tonight. Go the Borough !

Dwyer is the one to watch for a mature age rookie, too short, too old(25) but CAN play.. Will be on a list next year.. Galea would make a good third forward.
I thought we were in trouble early but just too tough..How good was Burstins left foot banana from the boundry!!.. Pinwill won the Gossy and well deserved..
What a great day, singing the song on the ground with the players past and present, Go The Borough!

Good for you Bedford!:thumbsu:

A really great game to watch. Port were absolutely clinical.

Valenti is a real goer. He works real hard as an in & under clearance king.
I like the way he goes about it.
Congrats to Port.
