Sounds like Strnadica is looking a monty to sign on with WCE....obviously too early to count those chickens, but great opportunity for the youngster....well deserved after his time at Freo....or lack of it.....rubbish for EF but apparently there is an experienced ruckman in the mix....just nothing definite till WCE make a decision.....which they probably won't till Feb time.....seriously how long does it take to finalize an AFL list?'...haven't these clubs got staff getting paid to do this stuff?....you either need a ruckman or you don't.....
Totally agree Freeze.
After the afl draft in November that should be it no more poaching of WAFL, SANFL players pre season, mid season etc.
If you get an injury too bad that is football!
All it shows is that these clubs have no faith in their own recruiting staff!

Very true mate.....WCE need a ruckman, yet only invite one to train on for the preseason, with two spots up for grabs...and only two players invited, the other a mid....not rocket science TBH......reckon come the NY as each month goes by, the club losing the player should get a decent fee.....goes up each month till a decision made..no fee pre NY, ..20K in Jan, 40K in Feb.....might see a few decisions reached quicker.....that's footy if he signs for WCE and then gets injured.......As it is footy EF losing their number 1 ruck late preseason apparently in WCE eyes.....

East Freo can just plan for life without Strnadica now though, doesn't really affect much, if they know they are losing him then its fine, just move on.

Then in 2 months time it can be a bonus for him to come back if it happens

EF apparently are in talks with an experienced quality ruck, but he won't commit till WCE decide on Strnadica.....can't blame him for not signing, especially if Strnadica is the number 1 ruck at EF and a possibility that he may return before the season starts....there in lies the problem....EF can't commit to any ruck replacement till WCE say so.....

WCE Williams that they are getting games into & Jamieson, 200cm/21/drafted 2019, next one up.

Is EF expecting Josh Cripps back?

Probably not, can see him staying with his big brother this year and playing VFL, if he misses out on that Carlton spot. Though may still come home....who knows TBH

Browne apparently being loaned out for 12 months to WCER by EF.....not a bad idea, the midfield is probably EF strongest area, so not sure how much impact / game time young Browne would of had / got. One way of getting 20 games of WAFL league into him this year, gives him a chance to show WCE what he has, and even if he gets knocked back in 2022 draft time, he comes back to EF hopefully a physically/mentally stronger footballer...replacing an Eardley or Boekhorst who may decide to retire.

West Coast rookie hopeful Luke Strnadica will be sidelined for at least the next fortnight after sustaining a foot injury at training.

The West Australian understands the giant East Fremantle ruck-forward suffered a partial tear in his plantar fascia during a recent Eagles match simulation session at Mineral Resources Park.

Strnadica is currently in a moon boot, with his injury timeline to be reassessed in a couple of weeks.

Definitely a disappointing road block for the young fella.....obviously disappointing from an EF perspective if Strnadica got a WCE gig.....but definitely a well deserved one. Think WCE will reassess in a fortnight and go from there.....

Not much on the news front from the club of late....few names off EF playing list in Bockman(moved to Broome for work) and looks likeJesse Crichton has had a change of heart and given up on his WAFL return...also young Josh Browne still looks WCER bound....losing Strnadica and Joyce(if selected) late in the pre season will definitely hurt EF playing depth.....also not sure the status quo on those 3 E.S boys MacDonald, Medland and Williamson with WA borders not reopening Feb 5th as planned.
