Heard RMcGuire was at the ground but didn't play.

Be good if the other McGuire was given more space to play. Good skills and fast
Apparently illness ruled RMcGuire out yesterday. Hasn't really hit his straps so far in 2024.

Good come from behind wins by both colts and reserves sides yesterday for EF. Really thought EF league were going to do the same in the last....sadly not to be.

Harry Taylor and jkennedy were playing for Northampton against brigades
And lost.
Might be a message there
Mate, Northampton were playing Rovers on the weekend and won by 69 pts. Happy to be stand corrected, but Brigades beat Towns from what I can see on the Sporting Pulse page for May 18th.

A day for many in that WA team to forget after that SA shellacking yesterday. Totally outclassed by a more skilled and committed SA team. Congrats to SA on the win.

Murdock wins the Simpson, for being WA's best player. Teakle, Turner and Eardley won plenty of the footy, without being overly effective. Jupp was steady up back considering the amount of I50 entries SA had(61). Hagan looked a bit lost TBH....Not sure how the young fella got a game over SF Winder in all honesty....not sure that Winder would of changed the end result.

Some good ins for the Perth game for EF tomorrow.....on paper definitely strengthens the side. Though some maybe under done in Marsh, O'Reilly and Boekhorst at league level. Could be last matches for Murdock and Teakle this year, if so, hopefully both boys go out with a bang. Be interested to see if Blakiston makes the bench, as he will be EF number 1 ruck if Teakle goes in the MSD and McGuire is out with a calf next week v SF.

Hopefully EF don't get complacent like they did v WCER. Any side can win in this comp when switched on. Perth obviously missing some key mids in Constable and Simpson, plus their tall forward from the VFL in Clarke and Avery up back.

Both teams need the win, good to see EF injury list is dwindling, with Monty and Walker only one week away, leaving RMcGuire, HMarsh and Meade as EF only 3 + week injured players.

We have too many forwards who are not fit.

Why was Murdock forward so much?
I guess JMarsh and O'Reilly were first league games for many many a week...so were always going to be under done some what....though it didn't hamper Boekhorst one bit.

Geez EF got luck there.....Perth kicked 1.7 in the first, definitely helped EF at the end....Stubbs amd Quartermaine have their 1 or 2 good games for the season kicking 8 between them.....

I guess 4 points is 4 points, but geez EF were lucky there. Not sure who those Edward's boys are for EP & P plus Amos for SA...but if Teaks can't dominate against them, heaven help him in the AFL if drafted next week....plus Hagan as well.....Murdock was the only one who did his chances any good TBH.

Yea 24 Perth good also 38 full back.

Lucky we have an elite backline.

Be a few guys benefited from the run hopefully.
Seems every week though, an opposition forward gets off the leash v EF defence....Peel - Wilson 5, WCER - Ruscoe 4, SD - Kohlmann - 4, EP - Graham 5 and now Perth - Stubbs - 5.

I see for the Derby - EF will be without JMarsh and SF will be without Schloithe due to their Clontarf employment apparently. With Murdock a likely MSD chance - it was great to see Boekhorst back in the team....I believe HMarsh is not too far away either.
