A game of two halves, EF turned it over in the first half, as SD ran hard, dominated the ball and pressured EF across the ground. Extra plus for SD when their forwards kicked straight to maximize their dominance.. After half time, the roles reversed, SD ran out of legs, EF dominated the ball, especially the clearances and the goals came, especially with the breeze in the last stanza.

Good day for all 3 EF teams at Steel Blue, well done to the reserves for going 2/0 and the ladies league side remain unbeaten. Good luck to the remaining 3 teams playing today.

McDonald and Williamson have played two strong reserves games so far. With COVID doing the rounds, matter of when not if COVID reaches Moss St. Though EF had a few out during the preseason I think from memory.

EP are playing great team footy at present, will be another good test for EF up in Northampton. Pity Harry wasn't still in town to don the boots, definitely would of been a big draw card for the locals. Though with local boy Teakle playing, plus Murphy, their will still be a sprinkle of Gero influence for the game. Plus the ladies are playing with the Teakle sisters, so hopefully a good crowd comes out for the day.

Well done to all 6 teams winning at Steel Blue on the weekend, not sure that has happened before with EF.

Can't think of many clubs able to pick an AFL team of 22....good effort andana
I have had a great deal of respect for the way East Fremantle produce quality AFL footballers and I like the side that has been amassed.

I am a WAFL tragic that still follows Claremont and love watching colts. I put a Claremont side together that would give your boys a pretty good run for their money.

I also love what Swan Districts does in developing their prospects. I expect they would also have a very good line up.
Monocle - your another tragic - have I left anyone out?

Cl production of tall KP players is definitely their strength, whilst EF strength lies with their production of midfield types. Nice balance across all zones in that "Shagers" line up.

Wish EF could bottle that 10 goal first quarter and take it to every game this year....10 goal quarters are few and far between these days.....needed it too, as ultimately that first quarter feast, is what won EF the game and lost EP the game.

Well done to Marsh on his 50th for EF....great to see 3 new faces in the EF side as well.....the colts had a great win today, considering they played 7 debutants.....a few older colts boys headed up into the reserves, as they lost a few players I presume to COVID. I do have to say I have never seen such a height shortage at the club in years...Feist who stands at 190cm was EF reserves starting ruck, whilst in the colts a few 188-190 cm boys shared the rucking duties.....

Was always going to happen......with no alignment club to fall back on to for reinforcements, can see a build up of play later dates before the season is out.....not sure much will change with those WCE injury and COVID woes over the coming weeks.....

Bloody AFL clubs .

We had the system of farming the AFL players out to the WAFL clubs, it worked pretty, I thought.

AFL clubs are bullies in a lot of ways, and now the Eagles reaping what they sowed. Ultimately it stuffs the WAFL around.

Rant over.

Find it amazing EF have "agreed" to play WCER next weekend during the state bye, knowing 4 of EF own, won't be available to play....not due to injury or COVID.... but because they are playing for WA.....why do the WAFL clubs jump, when WCE tells them too?.....surely there must been some monetary reward involved for EF to do so?

:watercloset: think they run everything and everyone. Can't even keep their players from nightclubbing in a pandemic.

This still gives a picture over what clubs and regions have had the most success in producing AFL players.

In South Australia, Norwood has produced the most AFL players in the draft era, with Port Adelaide producing the most 100-game players. That would be no shock to followers of the South Australian footy scene.

In Western Australia, Claremont and East Fremantle have been strongholds, with the most players and 100-game players respectively. East Fremantle's success has come despite the club not winning a WAFL flag since 1998. Oddly, East Fremantle has produced the most AFL premiership players of any club, an odd turnabout.

This looks to be the last time the Sharks play at East Fremantle Oval before the redevelopment. “We are looking forward to it”, said Monaghan. “We are still training there and we know the ground. We are very keen to get to the WACA but that is still a few weeks away”.

The game is being played at East Fremantle due to light maintenance work being undertaken at the WACA this week.

Bit of a claytons win yesterday, all us EF fans will gladly take the 4 points and % boost, but geez that was a blight on the WAFL integrity. Well done to EF Sam Medland and Sam Emery for donning the WCER jumper to get the game even played......interesting to see WCER top three stats were Browne, Ryan and Creasey.....2 ex EF players and a loaned out EF youngster.....not sure how much positive development Browne is getting at WCER playing in that current environment though...

Hopefully WCE can get on top of their injury & COVID woes.....anymore repeats of what happened yesterday will kill off an already dying State league.....one with a 100+ year history.

just saw this. There is no low for this pondscum franchise

Port star almost suited up for WAFL Eagles

Port Adelaide star Charlie Dixon almost wore a West Coast jumper over the weekend after the Eagles agreed to allow him to play for their WAFL side.
