THE TRUTH!!

Pierce is a crazy mo fo! :D 0 points in the first quarter and just 5 at the half. He then goes off for 21 points in the 3rd quarter to single handedly beat the inept Indiana. He gets a further 12 in the fourth for 37 all up, 32 in the second half.

Reggie Miller plays just 17 minutes??? Hardaway who was picked up for his veteran leadership and playoff nous doesnt see court time??

Pacers all but gone now...

Is he eligible to play in the playoffs because of when he was brought in?

T-Mac, Gooden and Armstrong all but bury Detriot.

Rip shoots 2-11 and although Detriot rely on their defence for W's, if they cant score points then their defence doesnt matter. Rip is thier best option on offence and when he only manages 5 points, your in trouble.

Orlando head to Detroit up 3-1 and are almost certainties for second round action, something T-Mac really wanted!

Yeah...he has played very limited minutes in game 1 and 2...but wasnt used at all in Game 4 despite Indiana looking completely lost on offence. Timmy Hardaway is a fantastic PG and he could have really organised Indy's offence better than youngster Tinsley IMO.

Did you see the game? Indy were absolutely lost on offence, 2 or 3 times in the 4th quarter they turned it over because of a shot clock violation, they constantly ended up with 1 on 1 bad shots and it looked as if they didnt run a play all quarter. Timmy would have gotten something going...

I didn't see the game, but veterans are very handy in playoffs. Just look at Toni Kukoc.

I don't rate Tinsley too highly, and I agree, Timmy Hardaway is a great PG that can score and set up the play.

Coulda been worth a shot to chuck him in?

As for Reggie - the guy is a playoff expert. Why not use him, especially under pressure.

Miller must have been a defensive thing. Thomas used Mercer at SG to guard Pierce, Artest was also taking turns in guarding Pierce, but for whatever flaws Reggie has in his defensive game, he makes up for it on offence.

I mean you should have seen it, their offence just was not working. Guy's were standing still, when they made a pass, the receiver of the pass would catch it and then stand there with it, then someone would realise that there was 4 seconds left on the shot clock, do a little shake and bake and fire off an 18 footer with a hand in the face. Just bad bad offence.

IMO Hardaway should have been running the point with Reggie at SG. Both are playoff veterans who have been in some huge games. Both can nail the three ball and Hardaway runs the offence aswell as anyone in the league. But both sat??

Im not going to claim I know more than Isiah Thomas though :D

Magic are 3-1 up now and look to have the series.
Drew Gooden has got back some touch and given us some quality strength under the basket.
I think that Orlando can go to the finals playing there best ball but would lose to the number 1 to 4 seed in the West easily.
1 big man short of a championship team, if only Hunter could have matured a bit quicker and had no injuries things could have been a little different maybe during the offseason we will see the talent Hunter has come to fold and grab another quality big man i think we will be general Championship contenders.
My tip is for Boston to meet the Lakers in the Finals in what would be a ideal situation for the NBA having 2 of the biggest and most followed clubs in the NBA with a grand history between them going head to head for the Ring.

But then theres a little trouble when New Jersey get the game flow going on.

76ers have pushed the Mashburnless Hornets to the brink of elimination with a 96-87 road win. They now go back to Philly for game 5 and I cant see the Hornets coming back.

Today is a big day in the East...the Nets v Bucks continue their series back in New Jersey. Game 5 is always a huge game when the series is locked at 2 a piece!

We could also wave goodbye to our first team today. The C's are up 3-1 and can see off the Pacers in Indiana with a win today. Cmon Indy stay in it, make them win it on their own floor.

NJ get the win, but the Bucks make them earn it. Interesting to see what the Bucks do in the off season.

The Pacers need OT to stay alive. Reggie`s production has really fallen away. Does he intend to play on next year? Artest makes some big defensive plays on Pierce.

Yeah I saw all the highlights from the New Jersey, Bucks game. New Jersey may be up 3-2 but I wouldnt be surprised if the Bucks win game 6 on their own floor to force NJ into a 7th game. Kukoc again came up big but this time the Bucks couldnt get over the line.

Well I told Isiah to play Timmy Hardaway and what does he do...he plays Tinsley for 11 minutes. What was the result? A Pacers win with 8 points from Hardaway in the last quarter...clutch points that got Indy into OT and then they won the game!

Not sure what to make of Reggie Miller?? I think he may continue on because Indy arent that far away from a title IMO. They are very young and talented and if J.O'Neal continues to get better along with guys like Artest, Brad Miller, Harrington...well they could be serious contenders.

I'm liking Rip Hamilton alot more since seeing him in the playoffs. Sure, he's inconsistent, but he's alot better than he previously was.

****ing New Jersey just won game 6 and took the series 4-2 :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Nets will play Boston who beat Indiana 4-2 :)

Anyone see the call where Desmond Mason got called for an offensive foul on Jefferson? I saw it on Sportscenter and if I remember it rightly, it looked a bit of a BS call.

Now that Indy bombed out...bye bye Jermaine?
Didn't he say that if Indy made a mess of the season, he would consider leaving?
What do we think?

Indiana join the Bucks and Hornets on the scrapheap. No surprises with the Hornets and Bucks losing but the Pacers have to be disappointed after their fantastic regular season. Still they are very young and Jermaine O'Neal is a genuine superstar. Hope he stays for Thomas' sake.

Nets v Boston rematch will be a classic, particularly with THE TRUTH in his devastatingly best form. Go Nets!

Orlando have another chance to advance to the conference semi's today against Detriot. Hope they can finish them off. T-Mac really wants it with all the criticism that KG has recieved about first round dismissals, he said in an interview that he didnt want that kind of tag.

O'neal's quote is interesting.

Jermaine O'neal said
I'll look at San Antonio with Tim Duncan, I'll look at Orlando with Tracy McGrady and I'll look at Indiana with Reggie Miller. That's three great players. When you get into a situation like that, you've got to look at the supporting cast and the type players that they have. The last team standing is the team that has the best supporting cast. I want to have the best opportunity. I understand Reggie is coming to the end of his career and I want to know that, once he leaves, this team is still in good hands as far has having two, three, four more punches. That's really my biggest concern.

Can you imagine McGrady and Jermaine together?
Duncan and Jermaine?
This offseason will be interesting to say the least.

Jermaine and T-Mac!! Damn. Call off the season :D Imagine if Hill finally gets healthy next season too....

Hill
McGrady
O'Neal
Gooden
Giricek

12 titles :D

Detriot win game 7 in a rout and send Orlando packing. I bet they are devastated, being up 3-1 and having 3 opportunities to close out the series and not even making Detriot really work that hard in all 3 games?? Gooden and Giricek were good moves but unless one of them turns into a 20ppg scorer to help out T-Mac, I cant see them getting any further than they did this season.

Detroit v Iverson should be an interesting series :D
