He's a big ruckman who Essendon delisted. I would imagine he's part of the backup brigade if Michaels knee doesn't come good and Longmuir doesn't step up. AFAIK, there have been a few ruckmen invited to train with the club and it would surprise me if one of them filled the last spot on the list.
good ruckman, took apart scott wynd and won the game for essendon in one of his first senior appearences when he was the only recognised ruckman in the side due to injury
never got the chance to live up to his ability due to a lack of opportunities
showed a great deal of leadership skills in the essendon vfl side this year, which he captained mostly.
also proved to be a handy goal kicker winning the reserves goal kicking
When he got up on stage at the MCG to accept the 1999 reserves GF trophy ,he dropped the magic word [FiretrUCK].Some people complained [probably Old farts].
Eastaugh had some good games in 1999 and should have been held onto to replace barnsey when he retires but the way he's playing now that won't be for 5 or 6 years. so good luck to simon
Before being picked up by Essendon, Eastaugh spent a few years on Richmond's list. I think he might have played a few senior games - or am I confusing him with Schaeffer?
Regardless, it is clear that his time at Richmond was completely forgettable. He would only be at the Dockers for insurance.

eastaugh did spend a few years at rich, but never played senior footy, i think he had played 60+ reserves games before he got the call up at essendon
if eastaugh is going to fremantle, im yet to hear that he is from anywhere but here, then he will be more than insurance, there is no doubt that he can play and be a valuable ruckman
Actually, I am suprised that Collingwood didn't pick him up!
