I might have some humble pie rather than a bag of dicks.

Putting my hand up, I expected West Coast to slide this year. Not to the pits of the ladder but just outside the 8 I wrongly based this on the retirements of Mitchell, Priddis & Petrie perhaps signaling a bit of a reset. The way last year finished felt like it was trending toward a bit of downturn. Also I thought Perth Stadium might take a bit of time to really become the fortress that Subi was.

I was wrong it was a fantastic season. It became clear a third of the way through that they were contenders. You made new stadium your own, travelled well, played attractive skilful footy and showed great resilience when tested with injury, suspension and an early 5 goal deficit in a bloody grand final.

Well done Eagles! Massive respect!
