Ebert is gona play.

Choco said that he's fine and that he's just been resting, and will start 'proper' training on friday/saturday.

Hopefully they give him a real 'proper' workout at Saturdays training, just to make sure he is fit, perhaps they could simulate game conditions for him, and do it for about 2 hrs, that should be enough.

Hopefully he'll struggle as CJ did if he does play.

Good call wooostace ... would be very handy if he plays but shouldnt have.

Considering how big Graeme Cornes and Russell Ebert's reputations were and how little they did when they played for North, it would be justice if their sons played poor games on the weekend.

Hang on just a minute there ... Cornesy had a dud time at North and came home before the clearance deadline the year he went over. But Russell Ebert played 25 games, kicked 15 goals, polled 9 Brownlow Medal votes (3rd highest for North that year, behind Gary Dempsey and Ross Glendinning), and finished around the top 3 or 4 for possessions for North for the season (back when that actually meant something). All this done in his first and only year at VFL level, 30 years of age, and flying over for games after training most of the week with Port. His contribution to your club deserves a little more respect.

Very good point. Ebert had a dip.:thumbsu:

It's just that when compared to Malcolm Blight, every other S.A. player pales in comparison. :)

Yeah Blighty was a freak. Was much younger when he came over and gave himself a chance, but still an audacious talent. He did some damage in the SANFL as player and coach when he came back too. (Although Russell did outpoll Blighty too in the 1979 Brownlow ;))
