He will be off to Port, unless they try to pay unders. I'm sure we will look at him, if only to force Port to pay fair compensation ;).

Now @PAFC confirms Brad Ebert has requested a trade to the club. What's he worth?

More for the Lolz:

Gunston to Hawks
Lisle to Pies
Davis to WCE
Ebert to AFC

(I haven't joined any stupid trade ideas yet, so wanted at least one this off-season)

I'd pass!

Especially for the price that West Coast would be after.

Actually, I really feel for the Eagles here. They lose a solid player that they would like to keep. Imagine how would we be feeling if Dangerfield walked out now! (washing my mouth out with a soap)

But seriously he was a 1st round draft pick not that long ago and he has shown he can play at this level. West Coast would be looking for a fair compensation but Port have them over the barrel here. After all, they do have #2 pick in the pre-season draft. I see West Coast getting done over on this deal.

They would rightly be REALLY pissed off with this.

Would be ironic if we got ebert to play in same side as danger, after all the fuss. in he-insight, danger was a good spot by rendell

Your spot on stiffy.
Port can pretty much guarentee they will take ebert in PSD and then tell the Eagles, its our second rounder or nothing. Bad spot the Weagles are in now.

But id still look at him

needs moar 7 team trades, gogogogogo

im not a fan of ebert, but if we could get him for a decent price i would go for it. the guy's only 21 and would have played what, about 70 games for the coasters? not a bad effort.

#18 to us, offer it to WCE?

I wouldn't. I'd be backing in the club to find a more highly skilled player at a pick like that. I see Ebert as a poor mans Vince. We don't need anymore players like him. We need players who can regularly hit a target.

It doesn't really matter anyway as Ebert wouldn't want to come to the Crows so it's either to Port via trade or Port via PSD. Nothing else

Port Adelaide have indicated that Ebert has sought a trade to them specifically.

As the Rolling Stones would say "You Can't Always Get What You Want".

I think we should be involved in a bid for Brad for 3 reasons:

1. - to piss Port Adelaide off.

2. - to put egg on the Ebert family's face for all the nasty things they said about Adelaide when we took Dangerfield instead

3. - to make the Ebert family including Russell barrack for the Crows when little Braddy is playing.

Nahhhhhh, just kidding. :D

Seriously though, we can't just let Port Adelaide get him for as cheap as chips.

We should definitely bid up to a reasonable level even if it is only to make sure that Port pay a fair price for him.
