It could be just me, but I seemed to notice that Ebert's kicking on the weekend seemed to be a lot lower and harder.

Even though a number of kicks still missed the target, I have confidence that it has improved and could reach above average in the future!

Following the game on the AFL simulation thingy, I saw turn over after turnover from Water's boot, not that I'm advocating he be dropped for one minute, but I wonder why Masten and Ebert are the bunny boys here.

When Ebert and Masten can run back with the flight and take a mark infront of a big leading forward then their kicking wont be scrutinized so much.

Masten did that too, sort of. Wasn't a mark and don't think it was on a leading forward given they were on the wing but he did do a smart flick on to Hams and got crunched afterwards. Can only go up from there :thumbsu:

his endeavour and workrate is 1st class just needs to fine tune his kicking efficiency ,if he improves this skill as well as his awareness he will be a very good player for us.

Not the only one though. Few players with no awareness especially in the last quarter. Mitch Brown got caught a few times. Need to start speaking to each other. Credit to the shepherding improving though

Good to see some positives on Ebert on this board. He is one of the best readers of the play and position makersn in the team. Once the team gels a bit he will be a very good player and his kicking isn't that bad for a young player.

Was at the game on the weekend,
Ebert makes the right decisions,
has a great kick,
but is soooooo ****ing slow at doing it the opposition reads it,
i actually feel like im watching him handball during warm-ups,
he's just so blasé!

God Ebert was nowhere near as bad as some people are making out. Infact as someone who only just rewatched the game, I think Stevenson fluffed more kicks then Ebert did, but due to him not having ascertained the same "whipping boy" status as Ebert, this goes largely unnoticed by the masses.

Shepherd had an absolute stinker, though he has a few credits in the bank.

Yep, his usually deadly radar was off on Saturday night. It's amazing how good he's been though - I kept waiting for his passes to hit one of our boys on the tit, and was amazed when it went straight to a bomber. Similarly, when Embley's passes DID hit one of our guys on the chest, it was a little bit like entering the twilight zone.
