We have a new ECW World Champion... and his name is Bobby Lashley!!

Extreme Elimination Chamber
ECW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Bobby Lashley won the title. Sabu didn't take part, he was attacked before the contest and replaced with Hardcore Holly.

Order of elimination:
C.M Punk by Rob Van Dam
Hardcore Holly by Test
Rob Van Dam by Test
Test by Lashley
Big Show by Lashley

The Hardys def. MNM

Daivari def. Tommy Dreamer. Of course The Great Khali would make sure that would happen.

Balls Mahoney def. Matt Striker.

TAG TEAM MATCH
Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay def. The Full Blooded Italians Tony Mamaluke and Little Guido Maritato.

INTERGENDER TAG TEAM MATCH
Kevin Thorn & Ariel def. Mike Knox & Kelly Kelly. The Sandman would rush in with signature Kendo stick to save Kelly from further attack.

Judging from responses on several boards, it's THUMBS WAY THE ******** DOWN! But what do you expect when they only promoted 2 MATCHES, and 1 of them was made days before the PPV. How the hell do you expect people to buy a show based on just 2 matches?! Not to mention the timing of having the show 1 week after Survivor Series.

If the WWE aren't going to promote these PPVs fairly why the hell have them? It seems to be a waste of time. And how can you have a decent PPV if you are going to throw it together and expect people to jump head over heels?

Either the WWE needs to work on promoting, and actually doing some work before the ECW PPVS, or they shouldn't bother. You can't have a halfassed PPV and expect people to buy it.

Is WWE trying to bury ECW? From memory some of the original ECW crew including Shane Douglas organised the Hardcore Homeocming last year a little bit before One Night Stand. Maybe the WWE is trying to kill the idea and the talent before the other ECW guys mount a resurgence and start to challenge the WWE again in innovation, violence and fan dedication.

Or maybe its just another poorly thought out and poorly executed PPV by the WWE.

EDIT: Why no Sabu?

The only reason WWE brought ECW back from the dead was because they saw the oppotunity to gaina ********** load of cash through the fat-middleaged-men still living at home who have nothing better to do with their time then fanticise abotu how real "hardcore" wrestling is. Expect the hardcore title to be brought out of the woodwork and put on smackdown to continue the money raking in

Oh I know why it was brought back, and I know why Vince bought up all those video tape libraries as well, with WWE 24/7 and WWE Jukebox (on WWE.com) they are making decent money off of the tapes and marches they possess.

Having ECW going gives Vince a chance to throw out ECW DVDS (see the latest one that was released The Bloodiest Matches, or some crap like that.) No offense, but WWE could have produced the DVDS and such without urinating on the remains of ECW.

I am trying to warm to the new ECW, but after the non-promotion of the PPV, and the lack of any real interest in the WWE to making the new ECW work, it's seems pointless.

i guess im glad that i didnt purchase it
wwe should just let paul heyman run ecw, and check in and out incase he burys it,
their two greatest assets rob van damn and sabu are hardly used, and im sure that hardcore ecw fans arnt happy that former wwe stars are dominating and getting most of the matches

RVD is being semi-buried after being busted with dope. He was in a feud with Show and won the world title from Cena not that long ago so once he has been punished he should be up there.

Sabu is being underused I don't know why.

Nope, it's because Sabu is being a f*ckwad backstage. Trying to brawl with CM Punk, mouthing off to other wrestlers, and trying to get fired.

That's why he got 'attacked' and replaced by Holly.

:D Some need to get on the 'puter and download the torrent file, cheaper, takes longer, but it's free.

Their reasoning is that he can't work a normal match without weapons etc.
You know after all those injuries I'm surprised he can work a match at al.

I am surprised they have tried to market the heat backstage as a feud on air.

It was atrocious, the best part of the show was the abuse you could hear from the crowd as to the quality of the show & the emasculation of the ECW product.

ECW is dead. :(

I had hoped for more matches, but other then that I liked it, looking forward to the WWE releasing more ECW dvds which is on the cards I reckon.
They should be releasing old ECW PPV's and ECW TV so that those of us whove only seen bits and pieces can bask in the greatness of ECW in its prime.

RISE & FALL OF ECW is well worth watching though you should be able to get it from your local video shop/Video Ezy. I dont know if Blockbuster stock wrestling due to them being controlled by fundy christians.

Also check out ECW's Most Violent Matches. Sabu vs Terry Funk in a barbed wire ropes match is just insane.

If you have a broadband connection and can figure out how to get onto Pro wrestling torrents you can download anything including old ECW/WCW/WWF/indy/DVD releases and right up to current PPV's and weekly tv.
