Don't mind Ed getting eased into the big show. Seven possessions coming on late in the last, he can find the footy alright, and might get his chance this week.

Still has work to do on his defensive game, and kicking is still a bit of a worry, but he will get there and be an outstanding player for us (you'd think).

It's also a question of who goes out for him to come in? Barring any injury -or a spell for one of our pensioners- its a tough side to break into.

To me, Ed has to play around the stoppage, and Long has leapt ahead of him at this stage. His chance will come soon enough though, surely.
 
Did a few nice things with the Little Time he had

Reckon there is a Chance he plays VFL Tommorow

Bloody tough team to break into. This is not going to his breakout year unless we get injuries. Not in the 22. Houston, Shultz to be back soon. Sullivan ahead of him and Mitchell might come back soon too.

What are you on about? Ned came on late in opening round and played pretty well and then the whole board wanted him dropped and flipped out that he held his place over Ed. Long has earned his praise

Ed hasn’t impressed so far this season as I’d hoped and been able to build on the Melbourne game last season.

A couple of very poor efforts when the heat was on in the last quarter of the VFL which was concerning, to be honest it looked like he’d rather be anywhere else. Needs to increase his intensity and want in the contest, he has great tools but am unsure if he’s a great footballer.

I really want them to give him a role change and play him wing or in a Daicos role as the starting defender who sits off the back of the pack. He's just not a good VFL player around stoppage, let alone AFL.

They have Tried at times on the Wing but he gets Totally Lost and Barley see him

I noticed he was still weak in the contest. He needs to find much more urgency. His legs seem quite skinny also which seems to effect his initial burst. I wouldn't be hurrying him back in the seniors. Finds it enough but he'll end up like Dow if he doesn't get stronger

Might have had difficulty getting up after being on the cusp last night for nearly the whole match. He is still only 20.

We need to create a football wormhole to open up for him that will take him to AFL levels. Maybe it is a change in role, got to be creative. I'd go with the defender role although his kicking is closer to mine than that of Josh, and wing is a really specialised role that i think he has had a crack at in the VFL. You can always look to the future in certain guys ( and gift games ) but you can't put what you are actually seeing too far in the rear view mirror either.

For a mid type of player, he is really sub standard when the ball is below his knees, just no hunt.
 
I didn't see today's Vfl but the kid was probably a little flat 2 weeks in a row only getting 15 minutes in the seniors

Also probably low on confidence and possibly mentally fatigued

I get in trouble for saying rub but ppl on here turn on players that quick its actually disgusting

Get behind the kid

Imo no a player we eanna lose
