I'm barracking hard for him but yeah............a bit of a spectator at AFL level thus far.

I actually thought he had some good moments

I asked the question early on what skills he brings to AFL level, but credit to him, had some really good hands and vision in the last half. Also didn't panic with the ball in hand and made the right decisions.

I thought he really improved as the game went on. Considering how little game time he's had, I thought he did well.

Write him off at your peril.

Sorry mate, but can't agree. Home state in front of friends and family and showed no desperation to get involved which is astounding given the intensity of the match. That last goal to Frederick could have been stopped if he didn't get sucked into the contest to top it off.

The guy needs a string of games in a row. The comments are a bit harsh, the expectations are unrealistic.
Let's judge him after 20+ solid games.

He missed his opportunity to make an impact. Unfortunately we have too many players ahead of him right now. He will be dropped again next week and have to wait for another chance.

Good moments are not enough to stay in a top four team.

He is going to have to lift his intensity and defensive positioning.

It's one poster writing him off. Totally agree with your post. He played a solid role. Wasn't great but had a few nice touches.

Not a fan of his defensive work at all, but when he relaxes and plays instinctually he looks alright as a linking player.

Plays like a gentlemen who doesn't wanna get his shorts dirty.

On the plus side he had a few nice handpasses in traffic, still needs to add more to his game.

Just needs a bit of confidence and to play more senior footy.

There were occasions I thought he could run with the ball but he was quick to handball to a teammate.

Needs to work on sticking tackles and positioning.

But he is only going to learn by playing more games and then team reviews.

Aside from your first sentence, I have to agree. He was frustrating last night. He gets an opportunity to show his wares - in front of his home crowd, no less - and is found wanting. Very disappointing for such a highly-rated prospect.
