i don’t know anything about him, but he’s not just some kid with good attributes and potential. He comes from good football pedigree and was close to a F/S. seems a good mix to me

I felt the safe option was Hayes.

He did say best available and we do need Mids, I'm ok with it, really a nothing type pick.

Pies land Hayes with our next which is unlikely then it's almost a free throw at the stumps in my opinion.

I think with a late first, going for a player with massive potential upside is a good strategy. Can always target safer role players with late and rookie picks.
