They traded up to get Weddle. They might have wanted him, but they wanted Weddle more. I doubt they regret it.
We would probably have taken him if Hawthorn didn't.

Ponce de Leon was looking in the wrong place. To be fair, nobody knew that we had set up an anti-aging machine in the basement of the AIA Centre. Jamie Elliott and Steele Sidebottom have been living in it. Unfortunately the entrance door must be too small for Mason Cox to fit through.
It’s where I keep noticing him do his best work, in the back line.Everywhere, looks like a winger that drops deep to help defence and uses his run and speed to counter attack.

With the fountain of youth we've got going, we won't need Rowell for that - Leppa to make a comeback.Get Rowelly from GC and it can be the Ned, Ed and Red combo
That little baulk in the Hawk's goal square before he dished off a perfect hand pass to release a teammate was exquisite. As you said, his poise under pressure is outstanding.I'm watching the replay this morning as it's nice to re-watch without all the emotion and focus on specific players.
I've been watching Ed closely and he's done some really nice things. One thing he's done is to remain calm when he's got the ball in tight, to trust his teammates to work for him by moving into space for the releasing handball (which we do better than any other team) then pulling the trigger at the right moment. It's not an easy skill to master and it's dependent on knowing your teammates, knowing the system and backing yourself to make the right handpass rather than rush a hospital pass under perceived pressure.
He's also worked up the wing to the 50 and spotted up teammates for shots at goal with some well weighted kicks.
I still think there's a lot of growth in Ed's game and we have a very good player in development... This is a good sign that he's getting comfortable at the level and will find a place in the long term.

Vossy hasn't played for years - he might qualify as a cat B rookie when the Blues sack him.
Wouldn’t harm their current leg speed anywayVossy hasn't played for years - he might qualify as a cat B rookie when the Blues sack him.

That win Friday was like a Geelong 2010 prelim win for me in a way. Just obliterate a hoodoo and embarrass the opposition in doing so. Hokball is deflatedYou are correct Copeland, although smoking indoor from the cannabis Cafe.

Yes mate. I stopped growing once the cafes opened to do business.Legal to buy on the street in Thailand so I doubt he’d bother growing his own.
Was my most satisfying win of the year too. Didn't think anything could top the feeling of beating the Blue bags, but this win was super sweet. That win Friday was like a Geelong 2010 prelim win for me in a way. Just obliterate a hoodoo and embarrass the opposition in doing so. Hokball is deflated
