It's crazy to think that two players like JDG and Titch might not make it back into the side. 2025 could be like 2010 where Lockyer and O'Bree lost their place in the team. Lockyer and O'Bree had just turned 30. JDG just turned 29 and Titch is 30.

A great video, shows his composure under pressure, his ability to wait that extra second to depose of the ball and his running up and down the wing getting involved in multiple link ups.

He has ot stay in the side. When Mcstay and DeGoey come back, he's think Sully and WHE miss out.

It's crazy to think the depth we have at the moment, We still have HH, Reef, Degoey and Mcstay to come back from injury.

Then there's Demattia, Parker, Steene, West and Hayes backing down the door. Roan having a great first game, then there's the depth players, Leggy, Sully, WHE etc.

Now it doesn't seems so bad once the older players start retiring.

All well and good, but I don't think a player in his 3rd year on a list should be eligible.

Need them for the award to be higher profile. Ollie Dempsey winning last year was better for the award than Wardlaw who is highly promising but hadn't done enough.

Mitchell might get a run as a sub -- barring injuries which might open up a place. But Long has his position now, so he's going to be battling it, I suspect.

WHE is the ideal sub, I think, though his performances off the bench aren't usually that great. Sullivan is also a decent sub, so his role there might be taken by Mitchell.

Ablett jnr. never got one either, so fair to say players can still go on and have a decent career even if they don't ever get nominated!!

In Sidebottom's first season (2009) he played 11 games (3 of which were finals), leaving him ineligible from then on. He looks to have performed reasonably in the 8 games he played where he could have been nominated, but obviously didn't do enough to impress the judges. In 2010 he really established himself, but was no longer eligible.

Someone mentioned Dempsey as Ed’s match up when we next play Geel, but I’d equally see him as capable of matching up on Smith or Holmes.

That Allan gets dropped while the 36 yo Scott Pendlebury is nursed to an AFL games record is an indictment of a bewildering club list strategy that begun with the recruitment of Schultz and continues to this day with the recruitment of Membrey. Fly's statement that he wants players, not draft picks, will hurt the club for the next five years until we start rejuvenating the list with high quality draft picks such as the ones that Richmond picked up and contributed to their win against Carlton.
